Blue Static Dissipative (BAS) Material is a permanent anti-static material, meaning the material will not "Leach out" or degrade over time. This makes this material great for the long-term storage or transportation of sensitive electronic equipment, semi conductors or lab equipment that can be damaged from the smallest of electronic shocks.
To make our rigid ABS-BAS LABoxx plastic containers we take a combination of ABS plastic and our blue static dissipative polypropylene. This combination creates a strong, rigid, plastic box with a unique ball hinged lid design. The ABS, or Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, is a common thermoplastic polymer that is made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of poly-butadiene.
LA Container offers dozens of color options for our polypropylene plastic containers. These include opaque, translucent, neon and metallic colors. These colors are BPA and lead free and are FDA compliant. Some color options are not regularly stocked but can be ordered with minimum purchase totals through the contact us page.
Our USP class VI polypropylene is 100% virgin medical, lab and food grade and is even autoclave sterilizable. This material is also BPA, Lead and heavy metal free, phthalates safe and is REACH, RoHS, DMF and FDA compliant. With this our polypropylene containers contain no animal derived products or any chemicals or components known to cause cancer or other issues at levels that would subject to California Prop 65.
A child safe, or child resistant, container is a container certified by specialized regulatory organizations to be challenging for children to open. Lacontainer proudly offers a line of Squeezetop child resistant plastic containers and Microvials that are certified child resistant. This certification ensures that a business is telling the truth.
