I have been very satisfied with the attention that I have received from all of the staff. The wait has been minimal and once called back to the room I have been checked out almost immediately.
Sherrod McClain is knowledgeable and easy to understand when he explains my injury and what I should expect in the healing process.

I prefer to go to Piedmont Fayette Orthopedics. Overall the staff and doctors are very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. My surgery went smoothly. Pre-op and Post-op appointments were easy and all my appointments were in time. Dr. Virginia Jones & PA Sherrod McClain are very knowledgeable and efficient. Will be back for more orthopedic needs in the future.

Buyer beware, ask before you get any physical therapy at this business. I was charged $670.00 for an hour of therapy. Definitely not worth the price for an hour of rehabilitation therapy.
Questioned the charge and the resulting answer did not justify the charges incurred especially since the price escalated without any additional new changes after 6 visits. Find somewhere else to go with a reasonable cost!

I only went to this practice for insurance reasons. I wasted almost a whole year seeing these doctors at the Marietta Office. Both doctors acted like they were in the biggest hurry to be done with me every time I went in. I went in for hip and back pain. After the first visit they told me I would need a cortisone shot. It took them 4 weeks to call me (after I called them twice) to schedule the shot. I had to drive to Hiram for this, almost an hour away. I got the shot and still no relief. I made an appointment to go back. This time I needed a shot in my hip. They told me this would be

I read the reviews but still decided to give OrthoAtlanta a chance. My symptoms were my inability to walk or stand, back pain, leg spasms that radiated through my legs. The OrthoAtlanta doctor did an x-ray, which I already knew would be inconclusive. When I asked the doctor about the findings of the x-ray, he was dismissive and was more focused on my use of Advil for pain instead of Tylenol. He then recommended Magnesium and physical therapy. He also ordered an EMG.
Having suffered for several months, I decided to get my own MRI, which showed several issues with my spine. At a follow-up appointment

I have had many surgeries thru this office. I have seen Dr. Jeffrey Smith for foot and ankle surgery and he was excellent. I was amazed because he told me foot surgery was one of the most painful surgeries but he did a great job. I have never had a problem with this practice at all, and I Started using them back in 2008. Yes sometimes the office staff could be a little more friendly, but come on everyone has a bad day. I have never seen this in any of the doctors at ORTHOATLANTA, Dr. Smith takes lots of time if you need it. They have done 2 back surgeries, broken ankle surgery and foot surgery

The staff is professional and very nice except may be at the desk.
I used 2 doctors (yes, I was that bad shape) and they both performed with knowledge and professionalism.
If I break something again, I'll probably go back there.
Note however that they do sell some stuff on a hight range and that I did not go to their physical therapy because these people were not very nice.

A year or so ago, I went in with a back problem. I saw Christopher J. Weigel, PA-C. He was EXCELLENT! So, when I had a problem with my knee last week (Friday), of course, I called Orthho Atlanta again. This time I was scheduled with Dr. Jeffery Smith. What a disappointment! I'm not sure that he gave me the cortisone shot (I hate needles so I looked away) that he said that he did. I was STILL in pain days after the shot. He said that he would call in an anti-inflammatory prescription to my pharmacy. When my husband went to pick it up...he was told that it was never called in. Therefore

Their customer service sucks, never able to contact the right person to get the job done. they wont even release my own test report to myself though I'm the one paying for it.
reason given was that I can only review with the doctor just in case if the report is incorrect or something.
So If your doctors reports could be incorrect, how could we trust these doctors & their diagnosis????

My recent visit for a procedure was such an ordeal. The doctor was knowledgeable and friendly and staff as well. My biggest complaint for both locations is the wait time of 20 minutes past scheduled time with no regards to my time. A simple communication that the doctor is running behind would have been nice, especially since the visit was only 2 minutes for a follow up visit. To get the procedure I had to call every other day to office and get different responses to why it was delayed. I had to personally reach out to the pharmaceutical company to get things moving. I had to wait a month before

The management staff in Lawrenceville are awful. They insisted I file for workman's comp because I wrote "COULD be from typing on a computer" as part of my pain on the paperwork.
I knew my injury was not work-related but I felt like they were:
a. Accusing me of lying
b. Pushing me to file workman's comp (Do they get more money??)
I explained this to the office manager.
What floors me is that they would not let me change the paperwork and reword it so it was more clear. They would not let me change it and said I had to self pay or file workman's comp.
I did not get

I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN! I was in a bind, and decided to come to this office, because I had been here before, but this time, I wasn't able to use my insurance. So I was a self pay patient. The physician literally spent about 5 minutes with me, and pushed and pulled and poked a little around the knee and said well, it's either bursitis or tendonitis and that was it. He sent him medical assistant in to try to sell me a brace, and tell me about some topical anti-inflammatory. So this 5 minute visit cost me $200, which seemed quite high given the lack of care and time involved
