Services
Our practice started with Dr. Julio Jove, M.D. in 1968. Dr. Julio Jove was the first of now three generations of orthopaedic surgeons. His son Dr. Maurice Jove joined the practice immediately after his residency at Emory University and expanded the already successful practice. In the late 1990s, Dr. Jeff Traub joined the practice and has been an integral part of the success and expansion of the practice.
Dr. Maurice Jove, M.D. has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery for over 30 years. He specializes in General Orthopaedic Surgery, but specializes in Hip, Knee and Shoulder Replacement as well as ACL, Rotator Cuff and Labral Surgery. Dr. Jove trained at Grady Memorial Hospital and was the Cheif Resident.
Julio Petilon, MD, is an American Board Certified orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in treating degenerative, traumatic and other disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, including herniated discs, deformity, revision surgery and disease of the sacroiliac joint, as well as general orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Jeff Traub has been in practice for over 19 years. Dr. Traub went to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and went to medical school at New York University School of Medicine. He trained in orthopedic surgery in Albany, New York. He did his fellowship in Sports Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio and worked with the Cincinnati Bengals and University of Cincinnati Bearcats.
Dr. Vanderhoof has been with the practice for over 20 years and specializes in non-operative treatment of the spine. Dr. V also performs EMG exams for the practice. Dr. Vanderhoof is a great resource for chronic back pain. He helps you decide how bad your problem may be and if you would benefit from an injection or being directed to a spine surgeon.

I love Dr Traub and Dr Petilon I was in a bad accident it took 4 doctors told me it was my nerve I been suffering with disc disease all my like so I know my body. It wasn’t my nerves.I saw Dr Petilon and right away he said a disc is pinching your nerve whic is preventing you from lifting your arm then I saw Dr Traub and he said it a small rotator cuff tear he reapaired it this past Friday along with a blocker I feel 50% myself again.
Now I love Blanca and Amber Dr Traub assistant was very nasty to me and was talking loud about my financial I was so embarrassed I cried like a baby.

I didn’t have a good experience with Dr. Nathan Jove. He suggested surgery on my knee after PT and cortisone shot did not work. In his words “surgery is not going to make it worse than it is”. Indeed surgery has made it worse than it is. I have never felt better since 2019 after the surgery. Right after the surgery l noticed my knee became sensitive to heat and and l mentioned it him and his answer was you shouldn’t feel like that. Now l’m suffering from nerve damage on both legs. I feel so restless ever since. Nathan Jove has a nice personality but l hope he will resist from using the

Have been to Dr. Nathan Jove office on several occasions as I was sent there after an auto accident. While he is a terrific doctor and I like him, the wait times are terrible. On several occasions I have waited over an hour and fifteen minutes to be seen. This is WITH appointments. Have even had to leave before because I was not seen after 90 minutes. Its truly sad that such a great experience with an awesome doctor is being soured by excruciatingly long wait times.
