El Dorado Packaging is a recently formed company with manufacturing roots that go back to the 1950s. El Dorado Bag began working with consumer packaging, and the manufacturing of Self Opening Sacks (SOS), in the 1950s. In 1962 two multi-wall facilities opened, focusing on the large bag market. These two companies became El Dorado Packaging in 2014 with headquarters in Rosemount, Minnesota.

SOM bags are used for dry products and are closed with a sewing thread on one end. Many markets using Sewn Bags can be unpredictable. With our wide variety of ribbed and high performance papers we can ensure you have the bags you need, when you need them. Structures: Up to 6 ply options with varying substrates utilizing ribbed & other high performance papers.

PBOM bags are ideal for dry products such as food ingredients and additives where bulk densities may vary. Our PBOM bags are closed by sewing or a pre applied hot melt glue. We also offer a wide variety of paper & barrier films to extend shelf life as well as ensure your product is protected. Structures: Up to 6 ply options with wide variety of barrier films available including film inserting.
