This salon is Everything Great when for servicing creoles and African American customers. The prices are competitive and the stylists get you in and out. No appointment is necessary. I went in at 9a for a wash, deep condition, roller set and blow out. I walked out at 11a. My hair is thick and long with a light texture, which did Not stop them from providing me with a really good wash. I highly recommend this place to minorities who value hair care and customer service!

I received a silk press on my thick 4c hair because a family member recommended me. Sadly the lady damaged my curl pattern from all the heat applied! I didn't notice until I washed my hair 3 weeks later and my tips along with other parts of my hair were still straight and wouldn't go back to its natural curl pattern. It was my first time applying heat to my hair after a year of being natural (big chop). I decided to just relax my hair because my other option was to big chop it again.

I have found my new Go To hair salon!!! Love that this place is only 5 min from my job! Their prices are very competitive. I hate that I have to leave my old place, but the commute across town was taxing.

I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is all so welcoming. I came in today almost an hour before closing and was NOT turned away. The wash lady took special time to make sure my flaky scalp was clean. And my scalp is super flaky. My go to girl is Antilla however all of the ladies does wonderful hair. Look no more. Get there and get styled by these beautiful ladies.

I highly recommend this salon. The women here do hair very well and are knowledgeable about natural hair and maintaining its health. I've been coming to Maria for quite some time and have been very pleased with how my hair looks whenever I leave. Their prices are also very fair in comparison to other Dominican salons in the city.

I've been coming here for the last 4.5 years. I love this place. Everyone is very friendly! The service is excellent. Appointments are not required, however the wait is minimal if any. On Saturdays, I recommend you arrive early! If you are looking for excellent hair care...look no further. My hair is in the best shape it has ever been in...extremely healthy. I usually get the blowout with a deep conditioning. I have also had a keratin treatment applied a few times as well. Hair care is their specialty. They work with all hair textures and lengths. Getting my hair done here. I got from under the dryer and was waiting for someone to get me to finish my hair, no one did and it seemed like I was getting ignored. Then, I look up and see one of the EMPLOYEES doing her own hair, literally just washed it, while there's customers who aren't getting served! Bad customer service.

And in Spanish the stylist in a very short and abrupt statement said advice the other stylist that is closing time and I better not be there expecting to be service. My very first time here and I must say it was wonderful .Totally amazed at how well my hair came out.. Exceeded my expectations. Martha the owner was very nice, there was a mix up with what time they opened so since I arrived early and had to wait I received a free deep conditioner. Very professional. Isabel was my stylist and she was very thorough ,kind and professional. Definitely will be returning. A+ service.

So my friend recommend this place, she Cuban. Anyways, I just got a hair cut and a blow dry it done in 30 mins. My hair was just a trim nothing major. Waste of 60 bucks plus I had to wait 6+hours for my friend because her hair took a little bit longer. My friend only paid 40 bucks ... Which I didn't understand. She got her hair in rolls, sat under the heat, then did couple blow outs, then a straighten couple times. Why it took them 6+ hours for hers I can understand but I don't understand why hers was cheaper than mine. My hair wasn't anything amazing just a trim. One of the girls

I showed up here Saturday morning at around 8:30. I was out the door at 11:00. I do not have a relaxer and they got my hair silky straight with a lot of swing and bounce. I wasnt really greeted as soon as I walked in but I can overlook that since they treated me kindly and professionally in general. They are about business here and unlike most salons I've been to they are focused on hair and not on chit chatting and gossip.
