Jim and his team did a fantastic job on my driver's side seat. I had a tear in one of the seams and asked them to replace the panel. Not only did they fix the tear, they were able to save the original leather doing it! These guys take care of you and look to do what's best. I took my Headliner and visors in for repair. I took it home after the repair and had some fitment issues. I brought it back to Walt and he solved the problems. Walt was very respectful and took care of me. It fits and looks great now.

My wife and I took our 2005 SUV to Jim to have the front seats removed and stuffed with new padding (for my big butt), an approximate $500+ job. I had Jim sit in the seats to get his opinion and he thought they were fine based on his vast knowledge of vehicles. Jim and I discussed my particular problem further and he had another, less expensive solution, to which i was willing to listen.

I worked with Jim to have leather upholstery installed on my truck. Walt did the work. I was very happy with how it turned out. They kept me updated, had it completed in time, offered me a great proce and most importantly, the quality was great!

I needed my driver seat reupholstered in my Mercedes C300, I had found Contemporary Uphoslerty on Yelp and they were close by and had really good reviews, so I figured I would give them a try. I worked with Jim on a previous project a few years ago.replacing the seat bucket covers and a rip repair on the driver's seatback. The quality of the work was great. The seat bucket was purchased but the seatback was a custom repair to the left side of the seat. In a lesser shop, it could've looked like patchwork. Not with Jim. There was no seeable difference between the existing, the purchased seat bucket and the custom repair. Amazingly skilled work.

My husband bought me a new top for my Miata for Christmas. He told me to have Contemporary Restorations install it. They did a fantastic job, but the service afterwards has been above and beyond! I had two incidents with my roof that were not related to installation and they fixed them for free! Jim and Walt are the best! They spent 2 1/2 hours to ensure my top was perfect! I highly recommend!

I have a 2006 VW Bug Convertible that needed a new top. Contemporary Restoration did a great job at a great price - then when I had an issue with the roof liner (that had not been replace) they fixed it free of charge. DIY project saved by the professionals! I thought it'd be a simple task to replace the ripped cover on my center arm console but it turned out to be more intricate than anticipated. I called Contemporary and the gentleman told me to come in at my convenience. They quickly and professionally fixed my center arm console. The outcome was better than I expected and the craftsmanship was top notch. I would recommend Contemporary for their quality, honesty, and fairness!

Had no idea where to go to get a rip on my car seat fixed, but found Jim on here, and he is every bit as good as everyone says he is!

All I have to say, if you want the job done right, go to these guys. Any custom work, rebuilds, cars, trucks, boats, or upholstery needs including leather, this is your team. They are no nonsense straight shooters that will meet the expectations of the most demanding of customers the first time. If you want cheap work, find someone else, then go back to these guys to fix the others poor work. If you want to enjoy your vehicle and the work and money you put in don't skip this team. Jim was awesome! He answered promptly every time I called. I showed up in person to get a quote around noon yesterday. The leather/vinyl on my driver's seat was severely cracked. He quoted me $185. I dropped it off this morning. He called me to make sure I was happy with the color match before they performed the work. Car was ready for pick up by 4:30 pm. Jim's awesome, he put new seat bottoms on our suburban's rear seats. The leather matches the factory leather to a T. It was so easy and well worth the price. It made such a difference in how we feel about our vehicle...highly recommend.

First, I would like to say the work itself was five stars, but I was given a quote by phone on my 'specific' vehicle and issue; however, the price slightly increased once I arrived at the business. When I asked them to honor the price quoted by phone, they wouldn't budge.

The car was finished on time, but suffered some minor, but highly visible damage (maybe when the seat was removed and reinstalled) during the repair. At first, there was not an 'immediate' offer to correct the problem, but after some convincing conversation, they eventually agreed to accept responsibility

Contemporary, by far, has the best prices and customer service in town. I was given a fair estimate by Jim. I liked the fact that he focused on what I wanted and didn't try to shove his suggestions just for an extra buck. I went in to get my front seats (bottom and back leather), and backseats (bottom and back leather) reupholstered. I was also given a good deal on two window tinting jobs(lifetime warranty) for my car and my friend's car. I was initially concerned about my car not being ready on time because they appeared to have more work than they could handle and I only saw two employees

I had a 2009 Boxster, The Convertible top was shredded after some one broke into it, insurance wouldn't cover it w/o a heavy deductible, after googling and searching, i found Jim's shop. I called and explained over the phone, expecting to spend thousands. He quoted A LOT less than dealership.
