In 1896, the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans was created by the Louisiana Legislature to administer public wharves and regulate trade and traffic on the Mississippi River in Jefferson, Orleans and St. Bernard. Port NOLA is exploring the potential development of a second international container terminal in St. Bernard Parish to meet growing demand and create local jobs and opportunity locally.

Port of New Orleans is a modern multimodal gateway for global commerce and an in-demand cruise port. Our competitive edge comes from our ability to deliver seamless, integrated logistics solutions between river, rail and road. Port NOLA is in close contact with cruise partners and government officials and will communicate updates as they develop. There will be limited river cruise sailings beginning in August. Booked passengers are encouraged to monitor direct communications from their cruise lines.

Convention Center Boulevard to Henderson Street, left on Henderson Street, continue to Port of New Orleans Place, left on Port of New Orleans Place to visitor parking lot on right. Exit at Business 90W/Westbank (locally known as Pontchartrain Expressway). Take I-10 East toward New Orleans. Follow signs for Westbank (Business 90) as you approach downtown.
