Anxiety is a normal human emotion that everyone experiences from time to time. When facing a problem in your relationship, work or school environment, or making an important decision you might feel anxious. Anxiety disorders, however, are significantly different. They cause distress that interferes with a person's ability to lead a normal, productive life.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a disorder characterized by anxiety, obsessions, and compulsions. It has the potential to become a disabling illness that traps the affected individual in endless cycles of repetitive thoughts, fears, images, and behaviors that they cannot control. The obsessive thoughts and fears produce anxiety which leads those who suffer from OCD to perform certain rituals or routines.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder that is triggered by a terrifying event by either witnessing or experiencing it. It is quite normal after experiencing a traumatic event to have trouble adjusting and coping for a while. However, if those who have suffered a traumatic event have trouble coping or have symptoms that last for months or even years, it is possible that they are suffering from PTSD.
Treatment resistant depression is a term used in psychiatry to describe patients with depression who do not feel fully well after 2 courses of treatment with antidepressants. This is a true mind body illness, such that untreated depression is known to affect both the brain and other organ systems of the body.

After 20 years of seeing Dr. Draud I was suddenly referred to another physician without any explanation whatsoever. Additionally, over those 20 years of seeing him, I don’t think I’ve ever had an in-person visit or phone appointment that lasted over 2-3 minutes max. He’s very nice and pleasant and has never failed to renew my medication, but after being inexplicably fired as a patient for no reason whatsoever I’m finally ready to tell the truth: this doctor is as nonchalant as possible without being flippant. Most definitely not recommended (nor did I ever recommend him when seeing him

Had trouble finding bldg and tried calling while I was lost. Noone was answering the phone. Kept getting answering machine. Showed up 10 minutes late and doc would not see me. Then charged me $100 for it. Not great way to treat new patient with extreme anxiety. Said the only way they would remove the charge would be to cancel all future appointments and not book any future appointments. Least empathetic office i ever had the displeasure of not seeing.

I had an appointment scheduled for 12:30 but was running late due to an accident. I was coming from Hendersonville so it is a bit of a drive . I called ahead to let them know I was running behind and would be there 10 till. I couldn't get in touch with the receptionist. This happens all the time. Anyway, they called me as I was pulling in to park and said that since I was late they would be charging me 90 dollars and I could still talk to the doctor over the phone. I said, I did not want to talk to the doctor over the phone if it meant being charged 90 dollars for a no show. The lady on the phone

If there was a minus stars I would have chosen that. I was a patient of Dr Draud's since 2006. This past December I receive a letter saying he could not longer see me...with no explanation. I tried repeatedly to contact his office leaving multiple voice-mail, with no return calls. He had me on a ton of medicine, but as my Dr I trusted what he was doing. He also was billing my insurance company for 30 minutes, but I was never in his office longer than 5 min. He doesn't care about his patients. He actually makes more money speaking for drug companies....which he seemed to care
More about. The medication

I had to leave town for 2 weeks on an emergency. So, I forgot my appointment. Charged 90.00 and paid it. Was told to call back to get prescriptions. When I did no one would return my phone call. Went in to office to get them and found out they had been mailed to me. Remind you I had just driven 5 hours from out of town. Received the lettter and has been dismissed from the practice.
I will never recommend anyone to go to this doctor.

Dr. Draud is the first person in over 12 years that has generally understood me and my struggles. He did not beat around the bush as so many other doctors, both primary care and psychiatrists always have. In today's health community so many people are judged as patient's based on the injustices of those that came before them. That makes it hard to get someone to listen and truly help you. I would recommend Dr. Draud to anyone struggling, frustrated or in need of another opinion. I have been there before and he truly has saved my life.

I have been seeing Dr. Draud for over five years. He has helped me control my Bipolar disorder when many doctors have failed. I would highly recommend Dr. Draud to anyone who is searching for a Psychiatrist in the area. He is caring and compassionate, and his staff has been very supportive and amazing.

My calendar moved the time of my appointment because of daylight savings. I thought my appointment was an hour later than it was. I recieved a call asking where I was. After realizing what happened, I apologized for the mix up. Instead of being understanding, they charged me $90.
After paying, I was told I could stop by to get my prescription. I told the woman at the desk I would be there shortly. I arrived just after noon and was nobody there. I waited in the waiting area for over 30 min before the doctor showed up. I was told at that point that they leave the office from noon to 1. Not sure
