Dr. Sharpe treats patients ages 18 and up. He specializes in treating psychiatric symptoms with medication management, with or without psychotherapy as needed. Your first visit with Dr. Sharpe will be 60 minutes long and includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation/interview. If treatment is recommended, it will typically consist of psychotherapy (talk therapy), medications or a combination of the two.

Dr. Sharpe is a compassionate, kind doctor.
It has been an absolute privilege being a beneficiary of his services over the past 8 months.
Prior to Dr. Sharpe’s services, I was nearly at rock bottom. After months of unemployment, I had finally managed to land a good job. However, due to the crippling anxiety, depression & existentialism I was experiencing, & had been for quite some time, I nearly undermined myself.
I finally decided to pursue long needed professional guidance.
Shortly after I completed & submitted my New Patient Intake Questionnaire & Guidelines/Policies, I was contacted by

He’s a crook. Just a doctor trying to write you a script and sit in his office for a half hour for 350$. Another textbook doctor trying to get rich off of peoples sicknesses.
The real doctors are the ones with real life expierence not a textbook and a degree. Your better off with doctor Phil he actually talks to you and has his own life expierence.
Clearly rich people just go to him to get pills
No wonder the world is on so many drugs

*This is my experience with Dr Sharpe and his private practice - severe anxiety here. I recently moved back to Nashville to be with family after resigning from a very stressful career. (Not millennial stressful, finance and banking management) I found Dr Sharpe after enlisting some help from some health professional friends. Getting an appointment was difficult at first, especially dealing with anxiety issues and that feeling of wanting to just give up - but please don't. His staff were very helpful with the opportunities and a cancellation came up and let me know very quickly. His office is downtown

Dr. Sharpe is an extremely bright, devoted, and intellectually curious clinician as well as being a well-rounded individual with eclectic interests, deep compassion, and a genuine connection with others. The many positive reviews are accurate; he is the rare gift of a great psychiatrist as well as a wonderful human being.

If you are in the Nashville area, your search for mental healthcare should stop with Dr. Sharpe. All of the rave reviews for him and his office are very well deserved. He is the most caring, kind, and understanding Doctor I've ever been to. His office is very nice and comfortable. His staff is top notch and the nicest you'll meet. Plain and simple - Dr. Sharpe is the best.

Patients invariably feel heard and understood. They thoroughly appreciate his conservative yet highly effective approach to medicating. They walk away feeling better with a fresh outlook on life. These are just a few of the reasons why Dr. Sharpe is at the very top of my referral list for psychiatric/psychotherapy care.

Dr. Sharpe has been treating my wife for a few years. After other doctors had treated her with questionable success, since she has been with Dr. Sharpe, her condition has been unquestionably stabilized. She's back to being the woman I've always known.
His care has been instrumental in my wife's recovery and I can heartily recommend him to anyone who needs effective treatment.

Dr. Sharpe has been a joy to work with! He is kind, compassionate, and straight-forward and has been beyond gracious in his willingness to work around my scheduling demands, not to mention effective at what he does. Bottom line - it's very evident Dr. Sharpe practices therapy for all the right reasons. While I don't use medications currently I'd recommend Dr. Sharpe to anyone in the Nashville area seeking psychotherapy or medication management.
