Our school will provide an environment conducive to the development physical, emotional, social health and wellbeing through teaching the self-defense art of Taekwondo. Physical: We use coordination, flexibility and strength combined with technique to overcome physical and psychological obstacles. Emotional: We add together physical and psychological successes to create confidence(emotional strength).
Social: We use social interaction to create empathy and humility keeping the student grounded. These skills will assist the student in positively impacting their life and the world. Success in martial arts is having the knowledge, confidence and skills to manage conflict. Failure is having to resort to physical means.

We just started but both my son and daughter are loving it. I love the confidence I see growing in them. He finds ways to find positives for his students. There are always 2-3 upper belts there to watch and make corrections. They're all super encouraging and willing to help the kids learn and grow at their speed. Highly recommend this place

I love this school. My daughter is very excited to go to class every time. As it was mentioned in the previous review, there is a good balance between learning, games, and discipline. Master Michael is very caring and makes sure all the students are getting the attention they need to be successful. I highly recommend it.

Master Michael has established a wonderful environment for young children who love coming to every practice. The training consists of instructions, physical activities, and games (a perfect balance!). Even when classes get large, every student gets a personal attention, recommendation for improvement and opportunity to show their skills to rank up. Our family loves Universal Tae Kwon DO!

My daughter attended Universal Taekwondo, years ago. She earned her Black Belt and I couldn't be more happy with Master Michael. Now her son attends and I see much progress in him. Highly recommend this school . Keep being AMAZING Master Michael!

We transferred to this studio from out of state after researching a number of local studios. We love this place! Master Mike is fantastic with the kids and communicates very well with us parents.
COVID precautions are observed very well, which unfortunately means that the parents can't watch as much as we're used to. But better to keep everyone healthy!

We absolutely love this school!! We shopped around at quite a few martial arts schools and this one is undeniably the best! Smaller class sizes, great instruction from the black belts in every class, and very family oriented! Of the hundreds of students master Michael and his team of black belt instructors know every students name and offer tailored instruction as needed. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

My child has been apart of this organization for over a year now. His progression has been very noticeable from coordination to balance to over all strength. Its really amazing. Master Michael and his instructors all do very well with the students from age 4 to age 60.
I think the most impressive part is the younger high belts really have been brought up to pass on the knowledge and encouragement that they received from their black belt instructors.
I highly recommend coming in and trying it out. You wont be disappointed!

We love Universal Tae Kwon Do for so many reasons! Master Mike and his team are so great with my young boys and know how to teach while still making it fun and engaging for them. He is firm and receives respect without berating or intimidating. He is also easy to talk to as a parent and is open and honest without the gimmicks and runaround I was getting at other places and is affordable. Not to mention my son's felt the most comfortable here which was definitely the deciding factor. I can't say enough on how much it has taught my boys how to behave outside of class as well. We've been doing the

I first started going to Universal TKD when I was 17. I am now 30, and I still go here on a regular basis.
You won't find another school in the Thornton Area that can make a difference in your, our your child's life as this school does.
For one, they don't pass people through the system. Each student earns their belt and if the students haven't meet the requirements of their current belt, we promise we won't just pass them along.
Also we have an extensive amount of curriculum. Each belt has 5 techniques that the students must learn and get signed off on by another

This is a small unassuming little Dojo that shares the parking lot with 7 Eleven on the NW corner of 112th and Colorado Blvd. My son is 5 and has been taking lessons here for about 3 months. I love this place, so much. My son is learning about curtesy, determination and respect. Master Michael sits down with the younger class, Little Dragons, at the beginning of each lesson and talks to them patiently and on their level. He explains what each belt color means, what things they can do in and out of the gym that represents that word, and then builds the entire work out around the word. ie
