We at Fox Chapel Marine are dedicated to providing our customers with the best quality gas service available on the Allegheny River by diligently monitoring the quality of our gas at all times. When ethanol fuel was mandated, our underground tanks were professionally cleaned and all gas at that time was polished to prevent any possible contamination of the new fuel.
I came to Fox Chapel Marine in 2005 when my son, Ed Nuttall, Jr, had his boat slip. In 2010, my son started his business, Team Nutz Technology, and I came to help him get it started. My years in working for corporation, small business and my own business, this was like working at a resort! South Side Marina is a great place to dock with so many dining and entertainment choices in the South Side Works.
Shrink wrap offers the best protection available against weather damage for your boat during storage. It will shield your boat against sun, rain, snow, sleet, leaves and bird droppings and unlike tarps, properly installed shrink wrap will not flap around or chafe your boat in windy conditions. If access during storage is needed, zippered doors can be easily installed.

It had been quite a while since I've been here ever since I found a new job and no longer work in Blawnox. I have faint memories of enjoying their wings and happy hour specials. The view itself it's much, you get the river and the yachts which is nice.
Their lunch menu is simple and cheap, but it hit the spot. I should've stuck to a beer as their tap soda was flat. Our waitress was attentive though and we had a pleasant meal on a hot summer day.

Brought my Mercury outboard jet to their shop a couple of weeks ago to have the shift cable replaced. I go to take the boat out yesterday for the first time since being in the shop and the remote won't shift out of neutral into forward at all. There is absolutely no way their technician tested the shifter. My buddy and I spent an hour at the ramp adjusting the cable like Fox Chapel should have before calling it done. I'm out $300 and an hour of my time. I called them today to let them know of the mistake and Mike Burnside acted as if it didn't bother him one bit. Won't be going

Terrible maintenance department! They did not get permission to do the work, then charged a ridiculous amount, and the boat did not work! Reviewing the parts charging they double charged us for several parts, then after they claimed to have fixed it - we found eve more parts double charged. After a second trip back the boat still didn't work. Stay away from the service department!

This place looks really great, but that is where it ends with regard to treating customers well. In short, lots of pressure with regard to a boat purchase, lack of knowledge when dealing with the parts/service department, and generally abysmal service on all fronts when looking for help (Jes and the lady at the front desk providing water excluded). It is almost like they do not want customers, or at least long term, repeat customers. I could write a short story regarding my experience with this place, but it is really not worth my time. Do not buy a used boat from this marina. This place is a hoax and will sell u anything with no standard of testing etc... I purchased a boat recently and it required 15k worth of service to be sea worthy. They patched it up for my boat test and made it run and sound good. meanwhile the boat had serious problems with it and required a great deal of work. Im disgusted with how i have been treated by this marina and i plan to sue them since they have told me that they have no intention of helping me pay for the major problems with the vessel.
