They used to be a great business to deal with. The last 2 yrs they've really gone down hill. As of the time of this post I've been waiting 4 days for a call back from the parts department. They rarely answer the phone, even when they do, they don't seem to be able to get parts. Their kind and friendly but basically useless. This has happened several times. I'm done trying to do business with Rt8 Marine. Save yourself some time and take your business elsewhere.

Left a boat motor there for months when I finally came to pick it up they were not pleased even though when they took me back it started right up in their test tank. Well, why didn’t you call if it was running? They are hoping you’ll leave stuff there long enough so they can sell it. Will NEVER go again for even the smallest watercraft related item.

Here is the bottom line, this place knows what they are doing. Before I found Rt8 marine, I had taken my boat to a few shops and always had issues. I have used Rt8 for three years now and my motor runs better than ever. Ed is very helpful and honest, he is now my go to boat mechanic. I have told a few of my friends about them and they all feel the same.

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I've got about 6 months invested in Rt 8 Marine and boat was never fixed. It has a fuel delivery issue I cannot figure out. I called in early-Dec 2017 to get my boat in and was told call back after 1st of year. Called back in early Feb was told Mar 12, 2018. I brought my boat there and it sat for 11 weeks. Mechanic said it should be no more than a couple weeks and would call as he knew I'd pick it up right away. They may have worked it for an hour or two. I'd call every other week, they wouldn't return calls except once. Lead mechanic told

First class service and great people to deal with. I've been to other shops over the years and have been ripped off. Ed is as nice as they come and he does excellent work. They did the work they promised, at the price they quoted, and figured out how to save me some money on a couple things that were easier fixes than expected.
My neighbor bought a used motor here and has been very happy with it. He saved a lot of money and it runs very strong. Will definitely be back.
