I am Kaia, your portrait photographer. Kaia means "Earth" in Norwegian and I live up to that by tree hugging, dog loving, and nature walking. My first word was "happy, " I still love to jump in puddles, I strive to live simply and self-sustainably, and my favorite color is yellow. I'm married to a stunningly handsome, ridiculously talented, and intensely loving musician husband.
We have three beautiful kids, one furry friend, and we all live happily ever after in a little house on a hill in the land of southern Wisconsin. BIRTH CONSULTATION We meet up here at a local coffee shop to chat about your birth. This is a great time for you to tell me all about your birth and to learn about me and my photography. BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY pricing covers a birth consultation, photography during active labor, pushing and the direct postpartum period (up to one hour right after birth).

Kaia was great to work with throughout the entire planning process! We had family portraits taken at the beach as a gift to my parents.
We love how they turned out and truly enjoyed the entire experience.

Kaia made our family pictures so easy and fun! We have a large family and she was absolutely wonderful. We have a hard time getting pictures of the two year old, but she got so many great ones! She has immense creativity and talent that shines through in the best pictures we've ever had of our family. We will cherish these pictures forever!

I can't begin to explain how Kaia perfectly captured our wedding day! Leading up to our wedding, she was always prompt with her responses, was an attentive listener to our vision, and showed she truly cared about us. At our wedding, she perfectly balanced giving direction for posed shots and allowing us to have fun and celebrate! We got our photos back quickly and to say our wedding photos blew us away would be an understatement.

I hired Kaia to take photos at a work retreat. We were having a guest speaker, and we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to get their picture professionally taken with the speaker. This was a last minute idea, and Kaia was thankfully available. She was very easy to work with and was willing to accommodate our unique situation. At the event, Kaia was absolutely incredible. The pictures came out wonderfully, and even though she had limited interactions with the event participants, several people made comments on how great she was. 💯
