We often get asked this question and the answer is; It depends. When was the last time your chimney or fireplace was inspected? If you cannot answer the question than it is most likely time for an inspection and most likely a chimney cleaning. We recommend all new homeowners or an inspection when a new home is being purchased or has been purchased before attempting to create a fire.
Our scoped camera inspection inspects the chimney liner and the hard to see spots inside a chimney. It provides an up close and personal look into the condition of your chimney and fireplace. By using a camera scope, we can see potential issues and get ahead of chimney repairs and often catch smaller, less noticeable fireplace issues before they become hazards such as water leaks.
Your fireplace should be inspected every time you have a chimney inspected. The gas fireplace outside the firebox and gas lines should be inspected by a licensed plumber. If you smell gas in your fireplace, immediately ensure the gas fireplace is turned off. If the smell persists, turn off the main gas line and call a licensed plumber.

5 stars all the way - We had a completely non-functional fireplace. I received one quote for installing wood burning and one quote for gas. The quote was fair and transparent regards to material vs labor cost. The install was punctual and efficient. Most importantly the finished product was terrific. Great job HBR

Terrible service. Had to call them out three times to finish a job. The final time the boss came out even after i told him i didn't want to work with them any more. They sprayed cement all over my house. And charged me full price at the end. Im still waiting on a payed for back ordered chimney cap. Please look at pictures ans go with someone else more qualified.

We had a wonderful experience with Simon and Tyler with HBR! They were quick to come out after I called to request service and made sure that they completed everything in a timely manner. They were super friendly! Simon cleaned and inspected our chimney. We recently moved in and don't think it had been cleaned in some time. Then Tyler came in like the King of England to solve our gas log issues! We will definitely be calling to have them come back year after year and referring them to our friends and neighbors!

I have very high praises for this company!! Jeremy and Jeff were amazing and very knowledgeable about gas fireplaces!! Jeremy started the repair and was very thorough with detecting the problem with my gas fireplace! Due to an unforeseen problem, he called his colleague, Jeff to assist! Jeff came over and they both worked on my fireplace until they realized another part was needed! Jeff came back the next morning and finished the job!! I definitely recommend this company and those 2 gentlemen 100%!!

Jeff was helpful and communicative throughout the whole process of repairing and sweeping our 1968 era chimney. He worked around our trip plans and made sure to come out only when he could do everything in one visit. We’re happy with the removal of a squirrel nest, bird nest, repairing of the mortar at the top of the chimney, and filling in some areas of the inner chimney liner that were vulnerable to high heat (using ceramic refractory foam). Very great service for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend this company and Jeff in particular.

Had a great experience with HBR Chimney service. The technician was very nice, wearing shoe covers inside my home at all times & making sure to take measures to leave my home clean and free of any dirt and dust through process. He even and wore a face mask at all times without being asked while in my home. A great job was done cleaning my chimney and addressing all of my concerns. I would definitely reccomend HBR Chimney to anyone for your Chimney service needs.

Tommy and his crew were amazing. They were efficient and very attentive to detail with my chimney. The finished product was WAY better than I even expected. My experience with HBR Chimney was excellent. They did a fantastic job with the scheduling and quoting process. Communication was excellent. The technician assigned to my job called me two hours before my appointment time and said he was able to be at my home in the next 15 minutes, which was fine by me. When Greg arrived he was very friendly, thorough, and professional throughout the whole process. Having never used my chimney, I was totally expecting him to find something that was going to be a very expensive repair. Called HBR CHIMNEY Saturday morning at 8:30AM. Got an answer from THE OWNER, Kyle Meinert. Explained my gas fireplace wasn't working. Long story short, wife has a Halloween party in a few hours and fireplace must work was my mission and HELP! Took my information and asked for a few minutes to get in touch with his technicians. Called back and couldn't get me a tech out same day but, he he himself took time out of his busy Saturday morning family schedule to FaceTime me and help me troubleshoot my gas fireplace. We purchased a home and we had an older gas switch fireplace that didn't work. They were very fast in coming out for inspection and setting up a time for repair. Taylor came out to do the repairs. His knowledge and passion for his work was beyond measure. He was very helpful and walked me through every step of what he did and what to do should something happen down the line. Above and beyond. I was going through extensive remodel and HBR did excellent work. After the remodel of my home it took a few extra months to get them the check from the designer. Not ideal. Never once did they call and complain or question where was the money for the work they did after I explained the situation. In addition, weeks later, they answered the phone at 9:30 PM on a weeknight to help walk me through lighting my fireplace for the first time so I could get some final photos of my sweet dog. My family and I have lived in our new home a little under 2 years and have never had a gas log fireplace so this was all new to me. So glad I called them. After another company left my house I wasn't satisfied so I had HBR came to inspect & clean the fireplace. Unfortunately our fireplace is not safe for a couple of reasons and they explained everything. I am very pleased with the level of experience and knowledge I received to get my fireplace to a safe functioning condition. We had wasps and bees coming through the fireplace so they really did 2 jobs in 1. Going the extra mile they also removed the bees that clustered on our ceiling.
