It's my sneak away spot. I think my prior review was not very recent, and rated it poorly, mostly because the person I was sneaking away from got under my skin, and that was downright childish of me. I'm single since her thankfully, but I still sneak away, it's clean, and the beds are other worldly. Yes, they are that good, worth the price of admission. Posting publicly reveals my spot, but I doubt any one that matters isn't reading reviews as we all live in or near town.

First the good: Condo #405 Royal Reef is a beautiful condo that was beautifully decorated and spotlessly cleaned before our arrival. The view is incredible and even the patio and patio furniture were clean. The grounds were clean, lobby and pool well kept. Pier is in great shape and a good spot for night fishing.
The bad: We rented a two bedroom condo so that we could vacation with our in-laws who were so looking forward to vacationing with us and their grand kids. Well upon arrival, we were informed that the elevator had been out of service for three days. My in-laws are handicapped and cannot

The only reason this is not 5 star is because the elevator to our rooms on the second floor malfunctioned 2 days before we left and was still out of commission when we did leave. Fishing pier was outstanding. Fortunately one of the custodians offered to carry our luggage (4 people for 5 days) down to our vehicles. Everything else was great, although I wish smoking were permitted on the balconies. We plan to return, but will try for 2 bedrooms/ground floor next time.

Without a doubt the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in Rockport. Great staff as well. We really wanted to enjoy the place.
The problem here is the paper thin walls and the selfishness of other guests who have no respect for other folks’ space and solitude. This is the loudest and noisiest place I’ve ever stayed. We dreaded every evening we came back to the room, never knowing what craziness we were going to have next door. It was always the same circus with different clowns.
We won’t be back.

We stayed here for 5 days. The grounds are absolutely spotless. The accommodations are first class, you feel like you are at your own house. The staff are all very personable and friendly even the housekeeping folks were nice to us. The pool and hot tub were clean and well kept. There are some full time residents there too and they seem to enjoy interacting with guest. Very quiet and laid back especially in the evening. We saw only one party at the pool and it ended around 10pm. The pier is long and new with a fish cleaning station. The have free wi-fi and free Ice machine for ice. We will be returning

Had a wonderful time watching the sunrises from the deck in beautiful condo #305. The condo had a great ambiance, with lovely furnishings and amenities. In January, the mornings were brisk when taking mornings walks along the shoreline and watching wildlife. The air was fresh and the sounds peaceful, being located on the bay. Also, our friends also had a wonderful time and enjoyed their stay in condo 411.

The hotel rooms are actually different from the condos. Same name different owners. Condos are great. The one we stayed in was recently remodeled. New tile threw out. Granite counters. Great view. I'm a snob when it comes to places to stay, the only reason we came here was because of a family reunion for Mother's Day so I was very surprised. Staff was great. Rock port was a much nicer area then I remembered from the 90's. We will be back.

The manager literally makes folks wait until exactly 4:00 o'clock to check in. "Sit on the couch for 20 minutes, then I can check you in." Felt like kindergarten.
Rest of the staff is pleasant.
The balconies are NOT private, regardless of the advertising wording.
Probably great for folks who want to party with everyone on their floor. Bring ear plugs or lots of alchohol to be able to sleep.
Great pier for fishing.
