Ordered pickup and I wanted out front to pickup my pizza, while waiting I noticed a grown teenager making the pizza with no mask, scratching theyre face and apron and even drinking and snacking while making my pizza. givin the times that's extremely gross and unsanitary.
When I went in The staff seemed to be run by clueless teenagers. The female cashier seemed like a deer in headlights and gave my a cold pizza from on top of the oven, which she barely could reach, making me concerned if they even clean up there
And finally the pizza..... the dough was like a under baked cracker, it

Pretty disappointed. Read the great reviews online and thought this place was worth checking out. The pizza itself tasted ok but the overall experience was very poor. 3 significant mistakes with a 2 item order is terrible execution. 1. I specifically asked for our pizza to be pie cut in the online order. The cashier pointed out that she “accidentally” tavern cut it. This is a giant pet peeve for me and I would have asked for it to be remade if I had more time., 2. Ordered boneless wings, specifically write that I want them covered in hot Buffalo with blue cheese on the side. What I got - Plain

We just discovered Borelli's bc they are generously hosting various music related community folks on the roof deck while we all muscle through being masked again. The pizza is amazing and great local beers on tap. It's a wonderfully warm and quirky place and big kudos for the David Cassidy magazine cover in the woman's bathroom!

Nothing pretentious about this place, it is the real thing! Warm rustic neighborhood atmosphere and Chicago hospitality. Enjoy delicious Italian-style flatbread pizza while becoming friends with the owner and your pie-maker! I am visiting from California and met with Chicago family and we wanted a friendly and relaxing place to dine. And being a pizza lover, I wanted at least one real pizza experience in Chicago. We found it all here. Don't expect upscale props, just something genuine. Enjoy!

I really do not like giving bad reviews... but man, this place was not good.
The thin crust was sooooo crunchy - just way too over cooked. The sauce was almost see through it was so thin, so not sure if that's why there was no flavor or if it was just bland? Overall the whole thing was just tasteless. The vegetables were almost even tasteless too??
Also, we got a veggie pizza and weirdly there were a few pieces of sausage on there?
The staff was friendly and appreciative of our business, so that was nice.

We ordered a veggie pizza for pick-up tonight. Super friendly service, food was ready quick, still hot after walking home and perfectly cooked! Just the right amount of fresh toppings, not greasy and doesn't leave you feeling bloated, which is how thin crust should be. The complaining reviews on here should go somewhere with deep dish. This is my neighborhood go-to for thin crust, way better than Roots. We also love their stuffed mushrooms, will definitely get those again next time...

Ordered take out from Borelli's and I am giving them two stars because it was ready quickly and the staff was very appreciative of our business and extremely courteous. The pizza itself was almost tasteless and mediocre. The sausage had a good flavor but the cheese, sauce, and crust left a lot to be desired. May return again to support them but order something else entirely.

I wish this restaurant was closer to us, but it was worth the 20 minute ride to go and pickup the margarita pizza along with a veggie one too! It had been a while since I had eaten their pizza and I don't know what I was thinking. It was amazing. I don't think I could come up with enough superlatives to describe it. The crust was thin and had a nice crunch to it with the right amount of ingredients and cheese. Can't wait to go back for some more.

This place is a GREAT find if you have kids (and love pizza but that's everyone, right?!). I had a big party for my son's first birthday there, with lots of adults but also kids of all ages, and everyone had a great time and ate and drank well. The game rooms in the back kept all the kids busy and happy. The bar area kept their parents (and the friends without kids!) very happy as well. The owner and staff are really nice. The pizza and salads were all delicious. Such a perfect spot!

Went to Borelli's tonight for dinner and it was a delightful experience! The pizza was Chicago tavern style pizza- thin crust, square cut and delish! The staff was pleasant and the owner (I think!) personally came over and checked in with us. There is a whole room with toys for kids and a disco ball in the dining room! Quirky and cute! Overall the evening was lovely and will be sure to return!

This place is a real gem. There aren't many places in the city where the food is good, drinks are good, and kids have enough indoor space to play. We've been here twice so far, once for dinner and once for brunch. The food is a bit pricey, but it's delicious! We also come here for the atmosphere, free game room in the back, and the fact that it has a bar (we can have mimosas while our kid plays). We just attended their first brunch for a kids concert by Miss Jamie from the Farm. We got there early enough and did not have a problem finding parking or getting a table. My kid

This is a neighborhood spot owned by people who live in the neighborhood. It's quirky--and that's part of its' charm. If you are looking for some slick (but boring) corporate experience, this is not for you. If, however, you are tired of watching our neighborhoods surrender to block after block of corporate franchise, then hang out here! It's super family- friendly. We just had our son's fourth birthday party in their playroom (for half the cost of "Pump it Up"). My mother (a bonafide New Yorker, and serious thin-crust pizza snob) tasted the pizza and said, "

How did I make it 5 years with a kid in this neighborhood before finding Borellis? Tavern style pizza was good, but the food is beside the point. (And if you don't have kids, it might not be for you.)
But super friendly service, welcoming to families, game room that entertains kids for hours. They serve alcohol now, so you can have a few beers on a Friday night while the kids get to ride in the weird old timey carousel. Perfect way to cap off the week.

So, my girlfriend lives super close, but we never tried this place because they don't ever seem to be open. Anyway, they were open today so I ordered a plain cheese pizza. It was ready super fast, and the staff was pleasant for my takeout order, but holy cow this place is a rip-off. There is nothing to the pizza. It weighs nothing, has barely any sauce, and even had a weird taste (but not inedible).
It was over $24.......
Definitely won't be back

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner. It was pretty busy but they seated us very quickly and the service was very good.
HOWEVER, the food was not good. I ordered the lasagna and after peeling off what seemed like a pound of cheese I was left with half a bowl of a mushy mess of ricotta, sauce, and ground beef. There was literally only ONE lasagna noodle in the whole dish and after I ate it I couldn't really eat any more of the dish because what was left was the texture of chunky pudding.
My date got the angel hair pasta with chicken. It was passable but rather tasteless.
Again, great

This is definitely one of the stranger places I've been to on the North Side, that's for sure! The inside reminds me of a 70's Family Style Pizza Joint.. complete with a Game Room in the back... kids EVERYWHERE!! Onto the food, the most important part. The pizza is super thin cracker crust style & it's very good, the nice folks working there said it's best to eat it there hot out of the oven which is exactly what we did! Honestly I've lived in the neighborhood for 15 years and had never even heard of it but really glad we tried it. It's BYOB and don&apos

If you have kids, live in the neighborhood, and craving pizza this is the place to go! Borelli's is like a mini Chuck E Cheese but not that crazy! It is the most kid friendly restaurant in the city, hands down! I cant tell you how great the service was! The owner is very friendly and accommodating.
There is a back room here that has multiple pinball machines, video games, fooseball tables, a swing and plenty of toys for kids! Its like a small toy heaven!
The pizza is decent, Thin Crust only but Borelli's is BYOB. There are many other better tasting pizza joints, but none provide
