Warm Mineral Springs Inn was originally built in 1958 as an "L" shape. With just 20 units at that time, it was ultra modern in design. The owners at that time were a couple from Venice, FL. Designed by architect Victor A. Lundy, many of Lundy's works incorporated graceful curves and soaring roof lines.
A signature style of Lundy's was "more roof than wall". The motel's unique mushroom Champagne glass style roof with its glass walls enabled the residents to look at the stars from their beds at night was a highlight. The motel was selected by the American Institute of Architects for the 1958 Special Awards.

The World Famous Warm Mineral Springs Resort is less than one mile away. For those of you who want sport, there are a number of tennis courts, three golf courses and a driving range, all these are just five minutes away from the motel. Many more golf courses are within 15-25 miles away. Fort Myers in the south offers the Thomas A. Edison Museum (the winter homes of Edison and Henry Ford), and a trip to the Everglades is really worthwhile.

We came to this Motels to feature it in a travel VLOG that highlights all things Mid Century. We had high hopes that it would live up to other Mid Century motels in the Sarasota Area.
Huge Disappointment.
Check in: Check in was easy and the woman was very polite. Office was clean. Original desk is still there and amazing.
Motel Grounds: Vegetation is overgrown . Random potted plants all over make it look trashy. Collection of random potted plants around shuffle board area makes the motel look cheap. Pool deck was filthy and covered in leaves and piles of dirt in corners. Corners of building

We have stayed there before.
New management/owners DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THIS MOTEL PROPERLY!
DID NOT CLEAN ROOM during our stay!!!!!!
Towels were stained.
Door safety was missing!
Only a small metal lock on it and it left the door poorly closed!
Window blinds DID NOT CLOSE properly! ALL THE BLINDS sheets were broken!
Sheets and pillow cases smelled as if left in washer to dry!!!!!
Carpet was FILTHY!
Not kept up to par based on nightly rates!!!!!!!

My boyfriend surprised me- go in a.c. wasn't on, room had a stench, like smoke, sheets had a yellow stain, hair in the bed and on the pillowcases, towels looked old, the outside looked great- patio, pool and hot tub but, couldn't get over the smell so had to leave a little tender loving care is definitely needed.

The staff were very friendly. When we asked for more pillows and an iron, it was promptly brought to our room. We stayed during the week so it was nice and quiet. We reserved a standard room. We were quite surprised to see how much room we had. There was a small full size refrigerator and a kitchen sink with dishes etc. Although the stove top didn't work. The bathroom is very small. The water always had a brownish tint to it. It was more noticeable in the toilet.
