Together, Randy and Sara ran the top rated bed and breakfast in Wisconsin prior to opening the Allyn Mansion in the Lake Geneva area. Their first bed and breakfast, Pleasant Street Bed and Breakfast, was one of only seven "diamond collection" properties in the state and the first two suite "diamond collection" property in the world.
They were consistently recognized for their warm hospitality, great food, clean rooms and outstanding concierge services. At the Mansion, Randy strove to provide the same bed and breakfast like experience within a luxury boutique hotel. It was a big transition moving from two rooms to eight rooms and having a full-time staff, not including massage therapists.

We take our business traveler's needs seriously. You are the customer that in many ways makes or breaks our success. You help us fill rooms on days when most vacationers aren't traveling and you spread the gospell in places beyond our Wisconsin borders. To that end, we have tried to leverage our extensive business travel experience to anticipate your needs and ensure your full satisfaction.
We invite you to consider the Stewart Inn as a venue for that special day or special event. With more than 1,000 sq ft of open-concept living space between the living room and the dining room and another 300+ sq ft of additional space in the media room, library, landing and foyer, the Stewart Inn provides a spectacularly elegant and inviting venue for any special event, particularly a small wedding, rehearsal dinner, shower or corporate off-site.
We are actively looking for outside investors who have an interest in the lodging market. We believe that there are several profitable growth opportunities here in Wausau and the state of Wisconsin. We are committed to management, marketing and operational excellence and only seek outside investors who are committed to the same.
The Fuller Room, originally the Daughter's Room, is the favorite room for most of our guests. It offers the most original architectural details of any of our guest rooms and it has a few exclusive amenities that you won't find in any other room. The most significant of these amenities is the private balcony (aka loggia) and the original claw footed soaking tub.
Being away from home doesn't mean you want to be away from the luxuries of home. Travel should be fun and relaxing, but not compromising. At the Stewart Inn, we offer unmatched amenities within the lodging industry. And if there's something you need that we don't offer, please let us know and we'll try to get it for you.

Randy and Sarah are excellent hosts!! They are both warm and caring people who make sure that you are pampered during your entire stay. Randy’s attention to the details really make this experience next level. The Inn is so charming and the food was fantastic! We will definitely be coming back in the future!

To start, the house was beautiful and located in walking distance to the downtown restaurants and shopping. We arrived in the early evening just in time for wine. Randy greeted us and talked to us about the house and helped us choose a restaurant for dinner, even made our reservations. Our room was spacious and complete with fire place, steam shower, Apple TV; all of the amenities. In the morning Randy prepared a delicious three course breakfast! He even prepared a separate 3 course breakfast for my husband who has crazy dietary restrictions. He did an amazing job! We had such a great time and we

Our stay at The Stewart Inn was part of a two night get away. My husband and I could not have chosen a better spot to relax and unwind. Our host was knowledgeable about the best places to go in town, what to do when we got there, and where to enjoy the best dinners! We met lovely guests at the multi course breakfasts and again at the evening wine gathering. We highly recommend this "treasure of the North" to anyone.

A fantastic Bed and Breakfast! A historic and beautiful home coupled with the Innkeeper’s generous hospitality made for a memorable stay! Don’t miss the 5:00 pm wine reception to learn more about what Wausau has to offer. There are many great restaurant options within walking distance of the Stewart Inn. This was our first stay here, and we will definitely be coming back!

I ended up at the Stewart Inn unexpectedly when my flight out was cancelled due to weather. This experience far exceeded my expectations and I will make it a point to end up back here! Where to begin?
The host was fantastic, had several suggestions for walkable restaurants (and his recommendations did not disappoint!), and provided a lovely wine reception when I arrived. He also carried my extremely heavy suitcase (52 pounds per Delta) up the stairs for me without being asked.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and included thoughtful touches like apple TV, an Amazon Echo device, an android

I enjoy my stay each time I have come here. Randy is such a great host, He makes breakfast each morning for guests, He does a evening wine and artisanal cheese tasting hour each night with guests, I find the rooms to be comfortable and the steam showers are good after a long day to relax.Last time I was here, he would make nightly desserts, but I did not see any sweet treats this time. Such a nice house.

My husband and I live in town but wanted to stay someplace nice after our wedding. This is the most beautiful bed and breakfast ever! We were blown away by the beauty of this place! The owners were out of two that weekend but Kathy made sure we had everything we needed and our made our stay so special. The breakfast was also one of the best breakfasts I've ever had!

What an amazing B&B! I cannot say enough good things about The Stewart Inn! Randy (the innkeeper) is a wonderful host. He makes and serves a delicious three course breakfast every morning. The meals vary day to day and he plans his menus to suit his guests. We began our stay with the wine hour whereupon Randy provided wine and we all drank and laughed and got to know each other. The house is gorgeous, the beds are divinely comfortable, the location is perfect and there is nothing Randy hasn’t thought of to make his guests happy. Wausau is an undiscovered treasure in WI and I’m so glad we took

We drove a few hours from out of town, an overnight road trip, and first of all, impressed with Wausau, but most importantly, we really enjoyed ourselves at the Stewart Inn. The first impression, Randy's hospitality, our room, everything, first class. As an architecture buff, this was great for the duration -- beautifully restored and furnished, this early 20th-century pure Arts & Crafts grand residence is wonderful to call home, or feel at home, as Randy said to do, if for just a few hours and over night. Very comfortable, excellent breakfast, good, brief conversation, and the location

First of all the house is amazing! I am very particular, but the cleanliness exceeded my expectations. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The multi course breakfast was delicious. Social distancing is not a problem at the Stewart Inn. I highly recommend and my wife and I will definitely be back. Thank you for all the points I got for my wife’s birthday weekend because of you and your amazing Inn.

The Stewart Inn is gorgeous! The home itself has been lovingly preserved to retain most of its original character. There are several great spots to cozy up in the communal areas of the home- plenty of room for all guests to spread out. The home is furnished very nicely with a good mix of period-style pieces as well as modern touches. Randy was a phenomenal host, and the breakfast was incredible. Thank you Randy & Sara!

This place is a gem. The building is architecturally fabulous, and in great shape. Very well cared for clearly. Very clean, great attention to detail. Comfy beds with your choice of like 12...yeah 12 pillow options. And the breakfast? Get out. 3 courses...really good ones. Great coffee. The owners have it purring like a kitten. Awesome experience...which I will for sure enjoy again and encourage. And Wausau is a fun little-ish town. Go check it out.

It was my first BNB experience and set the standard for all others
The house itself is an amazing historical structure, well-kept/restored with the perfect balance of elegance and charm. I was fortunate enough to have the daughters room, with a clawfoot tub, a fireplace, and a private balcony. Everything was well thought out and appointed. Fresh cookies and coffee awaited the weary traveler.
Breakfast was a delightful affair that came in gentle waves of delicious presentations of local wares.
My favorite was the Dutch baby pancake and the yogurt from Clover Meadows!

I stayed here because of my interest in arts & crafts houses. The house and room were in excellent shape. The first floor contains the living and dining room which are used for the excellent daily breakfast and evening reception. The room was very comfortable with plush bedding, a nice sized bathroom, and a fireplace. A enjoyable place to stay.

In August I booked a room for the night before my wedding, and wedding night in October. I thought all was good, until I received a phone call from Randy informing me he doesn't accept Amex. A few days later, I booked a room using a MasterCard. I received two confirmations, which I attached. Fast forward to the wedding day, as I'm having breakfast with my daughter and a lovely couple at the Stewart Inn, he informs me (in front of the couple) that I had two rooms booked there. I did see a charge that morning from them for $390 on my Amex, which he previously said he didn't take, but

I normally don't stay at Bed & Breakfast places but after this amazing experience I just might. Randy the owner was an outstanding host and treated me like family. Cooking home made breakfast, wine & cheese nightly & a couple time we just sat and hung out. The Inn is perfectly located with all the amenities you have at your own house. I'm coming back with my family and telling my friends about this 'hidden' gem in central Wisconsin.

This place is remarkable. It is a living museum with the original woodwork, light fixtures, stained glass, and Crafts Style details exceedingly well preserved. It is exceptionally clean, bright, and gorgeous. Everywhere you look there is a fascinating, unique piece of history from the door handles to the fireplaces to the art work. The owners are warm, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. There are little touches that make this truly luxurious: the breakfasts were amazing, there are literally 10 types of pillows to choose from, a sound system with every kind of genre available, controlled by an

We just visited Stewart Inn last weekend. First off, the home is gorgeous. Beautiful of course inside and out. Inside there is a comfortable seating area with plenty of room to visit with others if you'd like. There is a movie room with comfortable seating and a library if you have the time. Our room was beautiful. We stayed in the Fuller room. There was a balcony off our room so we sat out and had a glass of wine on a perfect summer Wisconsin night. The Stewart Inn is a beautifully preserved Arts and Crafts style home, lovingly transformed into the best B&B experience you'll ever have. We loved the style and feel of the home: the woodwork and stained glass are gorgeous. There are several guest rooms to choose from, each with its own unique features and little touches. The innkeepers are warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the Wausau area. There's a porch and garden area, and the Inn is located in a great neighborhood for walking. There are lots of other historic homes and museums within a few blocks. Downtown Wausau

If you're in search of a B&B experience in an impeccably-maintained Arts & Craft home, then the Stewart Inn should absolutely be on your short list. The attention to detail in the design and structure (tripartite-arch theme throughout) are impressive. The craftsmanship of the design, woodwork, stained glass, etc. is top notch. You would never guess the home dates back to 1906! My wife says it's the best B&B experience she's had. We loved the Fuller Room with its private balcony. The private music feature in each room is a great touch. Randy and Sara offer a great multi
