Over 50 years ago, our funeral home was founded by Mr. Leonard Smith. Mr. Smith was compelled by the importance of funeral service because he had a true heart for helping families who had suffered a loss. We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.
Services
Here's the truth: most funeral homes and cemeteries consider their primary function to be handling remains. Instead, we think of our job as having two parts: physical and emotional. The physical is burials, entombments and inurnments. The emotional is working with families to design healing experiences.
My goal is to help as many grieving people as possible heal, remember, and rebuild after loss. I have worked as a therapist/counselor in a variety of settings and was a psychology professor for 14 years (and an Assistant Dean of Academics for a while). I have completed research (including my dissertation) on grief and loss as well as written a book for mental health professionals on how to work with widowers.

We have heard thousands of questions, and chosen to provide you with the answers to some of the more common questions relating to a funeral, a funeral service and funeral homes.
Pre-planning is determining the details of your funeral and cemetery services in advance. To some, this may sound like a difficult conversation. But putting a plan in place is actually a smart and caring thing to do. With a plan, you'll reduce stress for grieving loved ones-and simply let them honor and celebrate your life, knowing things are happening just as you wanted.
