I started Lumina Vision in 2013 in order to provide a world-class eye care center to Sandy and Draper, Utah as well as the entire Salt Lake Valley. I wanted to create an experience that was simple, delightful, friendly, comfortable, and fun for our patients and staff in order to accomplish our mission of "Changing Lives Through Vision".

Our skilled optometrist eye doctors and dedicated staff will provide you and your family an eye exam experience sharply focused around your vision needs in order to provide you with the best eye exam in Sandy and Draper, Utah. To do all this, we only hire eye doctors and staff with a focus on the very best service, then continue to help them improve these skills.
Dr Leishman is originally from Brigham City, UT. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biophysics at Brigham Young University in 2005 and then earned his Doctor of Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry (now Marshall B Ketchum University) in Fullerton, CA in 2009.
He then completed a residency at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL to specialize in Pediatric Vision and Binocular Vision (problems of eye teaming, tracking, focusing, and visual information processing).He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry.

Our eye care services include comprehensive eye exams for infants, children, and adults to make sure your eyes stay healthy and you can see clearly. The American Optometric Association recommends infants and pre-schoolers should have comprehensive eye exams at 6 months, 3 years, and before 1st grade and that children and adults should have comprehensive eye exams every 1-2 years.

Get told two different things. I was told I didn’t have to pay for my eye exam,just for the co-pay. But then the day of it . I had to pay the co-pay. And the exam itself. So out of 65 dollars. Then I was told that I didn’t have to pay up front for my contacts, but then I get told I have to pay up front. Which one is it?

The staff from Stephanie, Gloria, Dr. Leishman and the specialist are all polite and professional. They had to endure two hours with my constant frustration in putting on contacts for the first time. They were courteous and even gave me tips on how to get accustomed to the contacts instead of prescription glasses. The communication in the workplace with us clients is spot on and everyone is calm even during their busy times, they don’t show to hurry appointments, but actually take the time to listen and answer eye and insurance related questions. My experience was less than optimal. At the end of the day, I cannot trust what they did and I feel the need to be evaluated by a different eye care center.
Lack of professionalism on the part of the support staff, lack of technology in the exam (for instance instead of a machine that tests peripheral vision utilizing a person that asks how many… fingers am I holding or using popsicle sticks for part of the exam), lack of cleanliness (I did not see anything cleaned off before or after save for one piece of equipment that the doctor used), lack of transparency on the pricing, lack of giving

I absolutely love this place, it's not the closest eye care center to me but I would never want to go anywhere else. Everyone is so nice and friendly, the atmosphere is cheerful and just makes you feel good to be there. I have only had great experiences with my eye exams, and I always come away with a perfectly updated lens and contact prescription. I like to ask a lot of questions, and everything is always explained well and fully! Thank you!

This office is fantastic! I love the Doctor and staff. Easy to make an appointment. Doctor takes time to do your exam and is very nice. I go about once a year for an eye exam to make sure my prescription hasn't changed, which usually it has. Great location too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new prescription.

I went here to surprise my wife on her birthday. We arrived a little late but they were able to accommodate us while we browsed through glasses and got her prescription. Hands down, the best service we've received in a long while! Stephanie, was great in walking us through all our questions and concerns. No better place to go!

We loved our experience with Dr. Ben. He was WONDERFUL with my son helping him feel comfortable and calm. He was patient and I never felt rushed. One thing I really appreciated was that he took time to follow up with me and be sure that I understood the results of the eye exam. Dr. Ben goes the extra mile calling the next day with ideas he had researched to help my son with reading. I can't say enough good things about our experience.

Dr. Leishman is a really nice guy. His staff was really friendly. His practice is newly rennovated, so the place is clean. I had an easy time getting an appointment even on short notice. The service was really good! I would recommend him to others especially if you need to see someone on a Saturday.
