Vision actually develops throughout infancy and early childhood. Sometimes it doesn't develop properly and help is needed to get the necessary visual skills to function in school, work and in life. Dr. Leanne Lee founded the Vision Development Center, with one goal in mind - to help children succeed.
Amblyopia, commonly referred to as "lazy eye, " is a neuro-developmental vision condition that affects up to 10 million people in the United States. It usually develops in infancy or early childhood, where one eye has poorer vision than the other. The condition cannot be resolved by eyeglasses, and the weaker eye usually has blurred vision and poor depth perception, making reading and other tasks difficult.

There are many different types of contact lenses to suit your needs. At our San Joaquin County optometry, we'll conduct an in-depth exam of your eyes, your vision, and your needs, and create a plan that works for you.
During a complete eye exam, your eye doctor will not only determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses, but will also check your eyes for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health. A comprehensive eye exam includes a number of tests and procedures to examine and evaluate the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision.
At Midtown Optometry, we bring the latest advancements in the field to San Joaquin County. One of the newer innovations is digital eye exams. They are often used in conjunction with traditional eye exams for more accurate results in identifying vision problems. Digital eye exams use automated tests and computerized sensors that measure your eyes and how they react to light.

Such a wonderful experience! All of the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about everything. Very patient with all of my questions/concerns and very thorough! Super cool set up- you can tell that patient care is valued! Very personable doctor and all of the front staff. The doctor explained and actually showed me what the difference will be with certain lenses. Highly recommended.

I love this place. The office is clean, staff were so friendly and the service was quick. Dr. D is a really cool guy and my kids love him. He made us all feel comfortable and welcome. He explained exactly what is going on with our eyes, and showed us how it affects our vision. I would recommend this place for families in need of eye care.

The last optometrist I went to was Stanton on pacific, and the quality of the whole visit was awkward and uncomfortable. I really wanted to make sure my prescription was right this time, so I decided to try a local optometry and I’m really happy with the service! The price was very comparable to bigger name optometry places, and the staff and doctors are super nice. Didn’t feel like I was being sold on anything, and it felt like the doctor was genuinely ensuring my prescription was correct.

You might think you have the coolest optometrist until you meet Dr.Derron Lee!! Not only is he an amazing thorough doctor who will make sure you fully understand what’s going on with your eyeballs but he shows this vulnerable sweet side and makes you feel welcomed and part of the Midtown Optometry family. If I could give them more stars I would! From the minute I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile and great attitude. Dr Derron Lee was amazing he made me feel comfortable and like a valued patient. He explained to be step by step and in detail what my diagnosis was and the best treatment for me. The entire staff is incredible. I'll definitely be recommending them and coming back for my optometry needs.
