John was so kind to bring the bikes to us! He was so helpful with explaining the need for helmets...Thank you! The bikes were in great shape and we had nice storage packs for our keys and phone on the bikes. A lock was provided as well. Meeting Rosie, John's little dog was a bonus :). I recommend using Z-Best Bikes for your next bike rental.

If you are a zealot about bike helmets, you will probably bond with the owner. If not, you might want to take your business one mile up the highway. I was unable to get a civil greeting from him, but instead was preemptively treated to his withering opinion of those without helmets and was sent on my way with a wish for ill to befall me on the road. Maybe the August heat and the tourists were getting to him, but this, as you may guess, lost me for life.

We pass this place every time we head into town to pick up groceries so when we decided to take a bike ride down the Bearskin Trail, this was the first place we hit up for a rental. The owner is friendly and helpful, fitted us for helmets (which are mandatory) and set us up with two bikes. His rate is a flat fee, wether you want to ride for an hour or an entire day, so I'd advise you take full advantage if you can. There are itemized add-ons for rentals, if you need additional equipment (including trailers for small children/infants for example). I'd say we had a great experience and

Should be called Z-Worst Bike. Was visiting the area over July 4th and wanted to rent mountain bikes for some quality riding in the woods. This guy put us on a couple of mountain bikes that must have been close to 15 years old. The cogs were worn and the chain kept slipping. The fork was leaking oil all over the place and had zero rebound. He initially quoted me $20 a day then upped it to $25 a day because he had to put our pedals on them. REALLY? This guy looks at your license plate and determines the fee. Classic tourist trap.
