Cozy Acupuncture
Halloween was over and stillness came back to Salem. It is getting colder from now on. Coldness and dryness in autum affect your lungs. I want to introduce 2 exercises to loosen the rib cage, which I'm teaching the patients in my clinic. The tightness of the rib cage lowers the performance of the lung and causes stiffness in the neck and shoulders, pain between the shoulder blades and even low back pain.

These exercises are easy and effective and take only 10 seconds each, please try when you have any problems in your chest or back. If you have already learned the exercises in my clinic but forgot how to do them, please check the videos and review them.

Acupuncture is a form of medicine that stimulates specific spots with some tools (needles, dried herbs) to pull out the body's self-healing power. The ancient Chinese discovered that there were the pathways of energy on the body and when they had illness, the specific spots on the energy pathway showed various signs such as pain, tightness or weakness.
The style of acupuncture practiced in Cozy Acupuncture is called Traditional Japanese Acupuncture. The image of acupuncture is that a lot of needles are inserted into the body and you wait until an acupuncturist comes back to remove the needles. This is basically Chinese style acupuncture. Acupuncture was originated in China more than 2,000 years ago and was transferred to Japan around 1,500 years ago.
Acupuncture is well known for the ability to treat pain such as low back pain, knee pain or neck pain, but it can also treat various medical problems. Because many medical problems are caused by the weakness of self-healing power and acupuncture helps the body to strengthen the self-healing power effectively.
Ichiro is a licensed Acupuncturist in MA. He graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown (now in Newton), MA in 2002. In his practice, my areas of focus are pain management. He has successfully treated various pain issues such as low back pain, sciatica, knee pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, ankle pain, headache, jaw pain or menstrual pain.
Acupuncture is a treatment with very thin, hair-like needles based on Oriental medical theory. In our body, there are rivers of energy called Meridians (Keiraku). Acupuncture regulates the energy (Ki) in these pathways to boost up our natural self-healing power. In Eastern Medicine, it is considered that our body is controlled by 5 kinds of organs' energies which are Liver energy, Heart energy, Spleen energy, Lung energy and Kidney energy.

My experience with Ichiro at Cozy Acupuncture has been nothing short of amazing. In the fall I suddenly started to have clogged/full ears, ringing in the ear, and hearing loss. After exhausting all of my options with ENT doctors, I decided to try acupuncture and chose Cozy because of the easy online scheduling and stellar reviews. The results were immediate. Ichiro gave me something the doctors could not - relief and hope. Amazingly, he's also been able to bring back some hearing loss that I've had for over 15 years - I never in my life expected that to happen!
Sessions at Cozy are truly healing

I came to Ichiro's office, Cozy Acupuncture, because I was experiencing extreme pain and tension in my neck and shoulders, specifically on my right side.

I had tried everything, massage, yoga, muscle relaxers and even chiropractic work.

However, my pain and tension did not dissipate until trying acupuncture with the professional, knowledgeable and licensed Ichiro.

I'd like to point out that when the needles were inserted, it was not pain I felt, but a warm wave of relaxation, which began at my head and traveled to my toes.

I HIGHLY recommended cozy acupuncture. Ichiro was not only

Ichiro is nothing short of amazing!
Over the years I have seen a variety of Chinese acupuncture practitioners with much success. Fist time I saw Ichiro, on his own accord he explained everything. "If I can't help you in 2-3 sessions, I don't want to see you", is what he said. This engendered trust. Ichiro helped me tremendously. Currently seeing him for something else with REMARKABLE results. More than once I've asked him if he was going to treat me, while the needles were in! Can't feel them! So if you or someone you know is afraid of needles, don't be because with Ichiro you likely won't feel

I wasn’t sure what to expect from acupuncture but we were desperate...
My 9 year old daughter had been in and out of the hospital for gastro issues. After a year of constant pain in her belly going up as high as 6-7 on a scale of 1-10, Boston Children’s hospital recommended we try acupuncture. At this point we were desperate... I googled Pediatric acupuncture and found Ichiro.
I found out that the pediatric treatment is painless due to the type of tool used with a rounded tip. Who would have thought. Ichiro would give my daughter homework every week... a taped piece of penny and another one

I have never been to an acupuncturist and was a bit skeptical. I had nerve pain called Meralgia Paresthetica for 4 weeks and the pain was severe. I was using a heating pad, cbd salve, ibuprofen, icy hot etc. My niece recommended Cozy Acupuncture and I decided to go. I’ve had 3 treatments and I feel so much better. I highly recommend Cozy Acupuncture.

I’ve been to many other acupuncturists and none have been as effective as Ichiro. He listens to your symptoms and immediately can treat whatever ailments you have. When seeing Ichiro you should not be afraid to mention minor aches, pains, mental issues, etc because he can help you with everything. Very pleased with my treatments.

I saw Ichiro many years ago for a problem with my spine. After getting frustrated with physical therapy, Ichiro got me to the next level of wellness. He is gentle, attentive, smart and knows intuitively how to make you feel comfortable. I returned recently for a few treatments for various ailments and once again, felt better and even empowered by the treatments. If you are hesitant but curious, Ichiro is the one to try. I highly recommend him and the experience of acupuncture.

I have had considerable acupuncture, Chinese and European traditions, over 40 years. This practitioner and his Japanese tradition is having fine results in relieving pain and discomfort.
