Brooke Halsey was admitted into the California State Bar in 1989 after earning a juris doctorate at Santa Clara University School of Law, and graduated with honors at California State University, San Diego. He served as a deputy district attorney for the County of Sonoma for 15 years before entering private practice.
In 2006, he founded the Tiburon Salmon Institute, an educational non-profit organization, and currently is its Executive Director. Active in the community, Brooke serves on several boards: Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society and the Marin Highlanders Rugby Football Club. And he sits on the Marin County Fish and Wildlife Commission and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Abalone Advisory Commission.
