In 2020, Nebraska community health centers served over 107,000 individuals, nearly 45% of whom were uninsured. Without community health centers, many of these people would have either gone without care or had to turn to hospital Emergency Rooms. HCAN provides training and technical assistance as well as education and advocacy for all seven health centers and their patients.

To date, HCAN has partnered with the Envolve Vision Van to provide Nebraska Community Health Center patients with 395 vision screenings, 294 prescription glasses, and 92 reading glasses. In 2017, Nebraska community health centers served over 94,000 individuals, nearly 50% of whom were uninsured.

The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is a nonprofit Primary Care Association who is committed to enhancing and expanding access to quality, community-responsive healthcare for Nebraska's medically underserved and uninsured. Members of HCAN are Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that provide medical, dental and behavioral health services for over 107,000 Nebraskans.

We are excited to announce the release of our 2020 Annual Report! Health centers continue to stand at the forefront of health care quality, innovation, and addressing social determinants of health. In fact, Nebraska's health centers rank first among the 1,400 health centers across the country in the quality of care they provide.
The overall purpose of the Peer Learning Networks is to provide Nebraska health center staff with the opportunity to network, share best practices, and receive pertinent training and education. HCAN provides training and technical assistance as well as education and advocacy for all seven health centers and their patients.
