Our community is conveniently located in the Benson neighborhood of Omaha, so you'll be near local physicians, pharmacies and other support services.
For nearly 70 years Maple Crest Health Center has been serving the needs of seniors in and around Omaha. Founded in 1948 by Rev. R.E. The facility was known as the Jonas Baptist Home, after Dr. A.F. Jonas, the owner of the property at that time. Then, in 1959 the Baptist Home was relocated to the Hattie B. Munroe Children's Home, on 2824 North 66th Avenue, Maple Crest's present location.
Maple Crest Health Center has been proudly serving Omaha's senior community for more than 65 years. Maple Crest is an extension of American Baptist Homes of the Midwest, a not-for-profit multi-service organization that offers care, hope and dignity to people of many ages, cultures and conditions. We endeavor to demonstrate our genuine concern for the individual needs of those we serve by providing services from a base of Christian principles.
At Maple Crest Health Center, we know that wellness goes beyond just physical care. Our wellness philosophy includes not only our supportive care services, but also group and individual activities as well. Through these activities we are able to address the need and desires of the whole person through the 6 dimensions of Wellness; physical, social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and occupational.
These three areas of Maple Crest were designed for individuals who have special care requirements in skilled nursing, rehabilitation or long-term care. At Maple Crest we take pride in our ability to meet and manage complex medical conditions with skill, compassion and a gentle touch.

In addition to complete health care services, you'll find Maple Crest also offers specially designed area of the community dedicated to meeting the needs of residents with Alzheimer's and other dementia related diseases.

This place is a horrible place to work at! Very unorganized, the people in charge are rude and treat their CNA’s horrible. I feel sorry for residents, their rooms are unclean and smelly! I would never send my family here or recommend working here. The nurse in charge are no help. Very unprofessional!! Stay away from this place

My brother had been in this facility going on three years now. The first facility that he was in he was in and out of the hospital nine months it of the year that he was there. Since he had been in Maplecrest he had only been back to the hospital three times. I would say that is proof that Maplecrest takes great care with their residents. I have been happy with most of the care he is receiving. Like everything in life, sometime soon the line we will not be able to make everyone happy all the time and someone is going to complain about something. Since my brother has been at the facility more instead

My Aunt passed away there on Valentines Day 2008. I had moved out of state 24 hrs away in 2004 and when I left she had her own apartment and was independent like she had been her whole life. She did suffer in her latter years from high calcium since she did have her thyroid out when she was young. While I was still in Omaha I was there to help her get to the hospital both times because she was acting strangely. They would get her calcium regulated and after a few days would send her home with her pills to take. In 2006 or 2007 She was taken to a different hospital which was not familiar with her

X All the staff are all absolute angels of mercy and sprinkle Angle dust wherever they go in facilitating Special care and love to our loved ones who are immobilized by all timers disease and old age in nursing homes.
They allow a safe place during the day and do their best to maintain some normal living conditions for my Mom.
thank you Hillcrest for being so good to Mary Meininger!

You can be a hard worker here, but if anything happens they will throw you under the bus. The leadership does not have your back when dealing with behavioral residents, which they have a lot of. They did not pay me money owed. Approx. 1500-2000k$. This place is a high risk for injury both to the resident and the care giver. Very sad.

My Mother is currently a resident. She broke her hip at this facility and recently molested by a male resident. Adult Protection Agency suggested we move her elsewhere. She is 91, in a wheelchair and has Alzheimer's. Tough for us to do at her phase in her life. Our Mother should be SAFE anywhere.

In real life I wouldn't give Maplecrest 1 star, but it was the only way it would allow me to give my review. My poor mother is currently a short term resident at Maplecrest Thompson Tower and they are grossly understaffed. My mom is bathed once a week IF she's lucky. Maplecrest NURSE PRACTIONER deliberately and insistently has my mom on hard core rot gut meds that are in fact HURTING my mom instead of helping her and when my mom began refusing the meds over a week ago, which she has the right to do, Maplecrest calls my stupid and insanely jealous sister who finagled temporary gaurdianship papers

This Place Is Nothing But A Front. The Management Are Fakes And Racist. They Allow The Nurses To Put Down And HARASS Their CNAs. The Residents Do Not Get The Proper Care They Need And Their Charging Was False. This Facility Abuse Their Power And Uses It As Their Personal Piggy Bank. Yes It's Always Clean But Only From What The Naked Eye Can See. I Would Never Recommend ANYONE To This Facility. The Resident Wishes Are Never Made And The Use Their Higher Power To Cover It Up. They Can't Keep Any Staff Because Of Their Cruel And Abusive Way. Pay Attention When Using This Facility Because They Will
