In 1951, Albert M. Coury, Sr opened the gates of Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Driven to better serve his community throughout the emotionally taxing steps of arranging and having a funeral for a loved one, Albert added a funeral home and crematory in the center of the cemetery's serene gardens. Our founder's dedication, integrity, and compassion continue to be upheld by his son, Dan, and grandson, Greg, as they care for and grow the legacy.
Over time, the Coury family has been privileged to serve an expanding community. In 2012, San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home and Advanced Planning Center was established in the rapidly growing Queen Creek. The brand new building has a welcoming home-like feel, as well as a chapel, reception area, and plenty of parking.

Read below or search the archive for the obituaries submitted by the families we've served at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home & Advanced Planning Center. Jane Verna was born in Tallulah, Louisiana to Henry and Gladys Taylor, with her twin brother Lee Vern on November. He was a man of high moral character, who was deeply passionate about the environment, who had a great sense.
Would it be better to plan ahead, calmly and sensibly, when you are in a normal mental and physical state, when you have full ability to reason, and when you are able to discuss arrangements with your family? Making funeral arrangements at a time of loss is extremely difficult, both emotionally and financially, for those left behind.
Cremation is a growing choice in our country and one that is widely accepted within many religions. When a body is cremated in our crematory it is reduced to its natural elements quickly and without chemicals. A variety of disposition options are available for those who choose cremation, including ground burial, cremation benches, urns, cremation niches, columbariums and scattering gardens.
The staff at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home can help you create a touching service for those loved ones who have passed on. We can arrange military honors, a release of doves at the graveside, a motorcycle-drawn hearse and many other special tributes. We want you to leave a service with a sense of peace; feeling like you honored your loved one in a way they would have appreciated.

During my family's toughest time Drew and Taylor were there with us every step of the way. From the first consultation we had all the way up to my Dad's service, they made sure that we were taken care of. They went above and beyond to help our family. We are very grateful for all of their help. They made a tough situation easier with all of the support they provided.

Our world was turned upside down with the passing of my niece. My brother just moved to AZ 5 months ago so the area was unfamiliar. We did a google search/review to find Don at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home. We had nothing but the best experience with him. He was sincere, caring, went ABOVE AND BEYOND to allow me and my sister the opportunity to see our niece before we had to travel back to CA. His caring demeanor is infectious. He took his time with the family to explain everything, it wasn't a sale pitch AT ALL. He was patience, kind, sincere and warm. It is a beautiful place and affordable

I'm so grateful I chose this funeral home to assist when my uncle passed. They were so incredibly kind, comforting and truly made an awful time more pleasant. All the way from calling them in the middle of the night when my uncle passed to organizing the service, cremation, coordinating the service and the details for the celebration of his life they were there for us. Don the director was there every step of the way and truly I felt he went above and beyond for all of us. He was so kind, comforting and I never felt rushed or like it was some kind of business. He felt like a friend helping us through

Don and his wonderful staff took such amazing care of us during our very trying and sad time. We were gently guided through the entire process and never encouraged to purchase things we didn't need to. They were a pleasure to do business with and you could really feel their care and commitment to treating your loved one with dignity and respect. I highly recommend them, and their facility is beautiful! Thank you for all you did for us! ❤

I don’t know where to begin about expressing my satisfaction. My husband suffered from Lupus and we talked so much about his wishes. However, the night of his passing Hospice asked who I wanted to contact in order to arrange his next stage in care. I was devastated because I literally made this decision based on google reviews. This was the only thing we didn’t discuss. The next morning Don called from San Tan Mountain View Funeral home with so much grace and professionalism. He immediately assisted me through everything. Don is so genuine and warm. He was my angel through it all. He listened
