I've brought my cars here for 20 years of inspections and repairs and have always gotten rock-solid work at a fair price, with friendly customer service and flexible scheduling.
(On the other hand, the few times I've visited a DEALER instead (for the "free" followup oil change or the uncountable "safety recall" tweaks), I am always reminded of how unpleasant it is to be upsold and lied to. Not at Kress.)
Mike at Kress is outstanding, trustworthy, well-informed, offers solid advice, charges a fair price and keeps to the necessary work.

I took my suv here for a break job because my regular mechanic's shop burned down. They were super nice and quick which was awesome until 2 weeks later when I started having problems so I took it back. They replaced my wheel bearing but said my differential was going bad but it was okay to drive. A week later I started having problems again so I hunted down my other mechanic to figure things out. It turns out whoever worked on my suv totally screwed up some sensor left it apart and let me drive away with my kids in the suv after charging me $400. The sensor messed up other things leaving me

Mike is the best. I've known this for a long time, but I was recently reminded of it when I went to North Hills Toyota because the tire indicator light was on. They found a spike in the (nearly brand-new) tire and quoted me $150 for a new tire. I asked if they could patch it. They said size and placement of the spike made them unable to. I had them put the tire back on as-is, and took it to Mike. It was 15 minutes to close, and he still happily took a look at the tire. There was a spike, but his technicians said not only could they patch it, it was a standard, easy patch. I walked out 25 minutes
