Services
Augusta Disposal & Recycling, Inc. is a family owned company, founded by John and Bill Polonus. The company has offered free curbside recycling to our customers since opening in 1991 making us the largest small business, locally owned residential refuse collector in Columbia County and very proactive in the community.
Optional yard waste removal on a pre-pay basis with up to 20 bags at a time. Yard waste should always be contained in lawn & leaf bags, personal yard waste cans or bundles. Yard waste shouldn't exceed 32gal or 50lbs in weight. Bundles shouldn't exceed 2' x 4'. Attach yard waste stickers to each bag or bundle.
A: If you have leftover, unwanted paint that is in good condition, you can donate it to nonprofits & other agencies in your area for reuse in remodeling, set design, and other applications. Organizations that accept unwanted paint include high school drama departments, community theater groups, schools, charities, and worship places.

Hands down the best trash collection company in the area. As a company that cleans trash bins for a living we rely on Augusta Disposal to pick up the trash for their customers on the day assigned so they can be ready for us to clean them the next day. We have several hundred Augusta Disposal customer, and they never miss a day! Augusta Disposal is the ONLY trash collection service in the area we recommend!

I have had the best service from Augusta Disposal!! They are always on time and never have missed a pick up! I also had spaced paying my bill for 6 months and they still picked me up. when I called to take care of my account, Theresa, the account manager helped me! She was very helpful and a pleasure to work with!! I couldn’t recommend a better company! I have read several negative comments about there customer service and I can say first hand that those are far from the truth! She worked with me and made sure I was taken care of!!

Only twice have they picked up on my pickup day in 4 months. We are starting our third week of NO PICK UP. I LIVE IN Columbia County and they have started service In our area when we started. We in my subdivision were told it was a NEW JUST STARTING UP COMPANY. I WILL do my research before I sign on another dotted line.

Update: the message below is the review I posted yesterday. I think I made it clear I was trying to get service… They have responded with a cookie cutter message that they have responded to every negative review with… That proves they do not care about customer service enough to actually read what’s posted. They are trying to make it seem like the review is not valid and they did nothing wrong. I find this to be very unethical, bad business. My review of my experience with them is below.

I am surprised to see the negative reviews. We have been with AD on and off for years. These last 4 years they have always came on our 2 pickup days. If we had a question the office staff always responded and were kind.
Happy to be with Augusta Disposal. Also, please keep in mind they are probably slightly overwhelmed due to everyone leaving Meridian.

What a horrible company with a disaster customer service. The term Service don’t even exist in your company, the lady I spoke with kept promising to provide a disposal can soon. She said it will delivered in November but got delayed to December and now it’s not even came yet, I am extremely outraged with a company like this. Not only that, the lady also laughed when I complained to her. Besides, You guys forget to pick up our trash 3-4 times but

When I signed up with Augusta Disposal almost 6 weeks ago, they told me they couldn't get me a can until Nov 17. OK. 2021 shortages are normal. I can use my own can or leave out bags of trash. That lasi isn't going to happen.
Nov 17th came and went. No updates and no can, so I emailed. Quick response. Great. We have you set up for a Friday delivery, but no promises. Got to sanitze them. Do you want to cancel service. Er..., no I dont "want" to cancel my trash pick up the Friday before Thankgiving.
Still no can. Emailed again. Explained a monday delivery would keep my business because I would

I’ve had them for over ten years at multiple addresses. Always responsive with any issues, even when I missed getting the trash out on time. Always picked up everything with a tag on it, even when clearing leaves from my acre lot. Most negative reviews sound like people who don’t pay attention to the rules. Tags are cheap and easy to get for extra waste and the trash is supposed to be out very early in the morning. Best to put it out the night before. I’ve always had good experiences with customer service.
