Recleim's proprietary recycling processes recover approximately 95% (by weight) of the commodity components in the appliances it recycles. The processes isolate and destroy onsite refrigerants and greenhouse gases trapped in the insulating foam of refrigerating appliances in compliance with standards set forth in the Montreal Protocol (the international treaty that eliminates ozone-depleting substances).
Our flagship facility in Graniteville, South Carolina, features state-of-the-art, completely closed-loop resource recovery technology to cleanly and safely de-manufacture and recycle refrigerators, other large household appliances, and related electronics, while exceeding all existing Environmental Protection Agency standards.

Our next-generation recycling methods take aging and end-of-life appliances and reduce them to very small pellets of sorted materials.
We safely dispose of end-of-life HVAC systems and assume responsibility for meeting EPA requirements for the safe and legal de-manufacturing and disposal of that waste. Thanks to a partnership with two European companies, Adelmann and Lesni, Recleim is the first North American company to employ the European model, allowing us to deliver an advanced recycling and air purification process to our clients.
Recleim's utility program supports the transportation of appliances from customers' homes and retailers to collection and consolidation sites, and from there to plant locations. Recleim partners with forward-thinking utility companies from Maine to Miami to provide a next generation, best-in-class, cost-effective Appliance Recycling Program.
