I started this program back in April of 2021 and my navigators name was Paul, I also had the pleasure of working with (not professionally of course) Fran, Jeanne, and the surgeon Dr. Gresens. Everyone I've encountered in this program has been absolutely amazing. They answered every question I possibly had, eased every bit of anxiety. They were always quick to return a phone call if they weren't able to answer right away. Hands down going with Sentara comprehensive weight loss center was the best decision I could have made. The only thing I would have changed was getting in contact with them sooner

I went for the medical weight loss program (non-surgical) I still have not figured out what exactly I paid for and what my insurance was billed for. You are given photocopies of antiquated restrictive diets ( that are not sustainable for more than a few weeks) . Photocopies and more photocopies. (Please save a tree) that’s basically it. The sentara food in the store can hardly be classified as food. Tastes like cardboard. the scale they use is NOT accurate. I had a doctors appointment immediately after this one and was weighed (had not eaten in between appts) and was a full 7 lbs more. They change

I am about to have my surgery but keeps getting rescheduled. It's very upsetting and disappointing. It took forever for them to return my phone calls, especially after leaving several voicemails. Then when it came time to get my insurance to approve the surgery, my insurance approves it within two days. They never even called me for almost 3 weeks. I finally called left several voicemails again and emailed them. Then I finally got a response another week later. Just for them to say "oh we got the approval for the surgery lying and saying it was approved that day when in fact it was approved more

I started my journey mid Oct 2019, had sleeve surgery Feb 2020. I was nervous about this program from the reviews years back. But boy am I glad I didn’t listen. This program and everyone involved is 100% in your corner. From Dr. Hall the psychologist, Fran Johnson the dietician, Dr. Gresens my surgeon and even the Program Director Jeanne Sanders. Everyone has been pleasant from nurses to my navigator. After surgery they continue support on the facebook page, instagram, other patients advice and help. They say it takes a village well you definitely have a village here and then a community of people

Had an appointment for January, they rescheduled twice and when I showed up they canceled and told me they couldn't see me until June. Had I done the same to them they wouldn't have tolerated it. I understand having to reschedule but I would appreciate it if they could have the same respect for my time that they expect of theirs.

Was referred by my primary, took over 3 weeks to hear from them, and then I finally received a phone call. They explained I had to go through a seminar, either online or in person, and I chose to complete it online. I completed the seminar online, took their quiz, then called them to schedule my first appointment. I couldn’t reach anyone, so I left a voicemail at an inbox that said they would respond in 1 business day. 4 business days later I called back because I hadn’t heard anything, and was told, when i finally got through to someone, that they weren’t accepting new patients and that

PLEASE DONT GO HERE ! Just received a call from Dr. Wohlgemuth saying they were putting me out of the program after 1yr of going back and forward to the docter. They rushed me into dates to take appointment. Then to cal and tell me that I was not going to be able to go through with it. Not offering any help, suggestions or anything. But they have been paid by my insurance. Please don’t go to this place !!!

This place has changed my life! I started in February of 2016 and weighed 239. I was so out of shape, unhealthy, pre-diabetic, I had high cholesterol, and my bp wasnt the best. I had tried every fad diet and even some recxomended by my pcp. I did not want surgery but NOTHING helped me the way Lori has. I am sure I could have reached my goal last year but obviously I love food and allowed myself to get off course but Im back on track and I have lost almost 50lbs with her guidance.

I went through everything that they asked me to do, traveling from Belvidere, N.C. to Virginia for every class. They took my $500.00, and turned me down, after I went to all the classes they asked of me. I felt devastated and betrayed. I have type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance and pcos, this surgery held great promise for helping me lose the weight that I couldn't lose on my own. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else. They have lost my respect and my hope. I passed their psych test only for them to tell me that I was "to busy to focus on losing weight ". I am a mother, trying to take

This place has disappointed me more than once. I went back in 2014 and quit because the doctor I had was rude, short with me, and made me feel rushed. She didn't help. And their food costs so much money! I tried going again recently only to be prescribed a weight loss medication.... not for the program. They told me they had to call me back to determine if I could start where I left off or have to start over again. I told them I would not pay the deposit again because I don't want to do the program. They also said you have to do an orientation meeting now before starting which is one time a month
