The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) is a progressive trade union representing well-trained heavy equipment operators and mechanics, as well as operations maintenance and other workers in building and industrial complexes and industry services throughout the United States and Canada.
This was the formation of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 132, Charleston, West Virginia. By the end of the year, there were 34 members. By the turn of the decade, 1940, I.U.O.E. Local 132 had approximately 257 members. By the mid 40's, Local 132 had roving offices in Charleston, Point Pleasant, Parkersburg, New Haven, Wheeling, Hinton and Elkins, West Virginia.
CHARLESTON, WV - Today, IUOE Local 132, in partnership with WV Strong, released a new ad entitled "Tick Tock, " which showcases its members fueling the growing wind power sector in West Virginia and already benefiting from good-paying union jobs across the state. The spot is part of a six-figure ad buy that will run statewide ahead of the August recess.
Below are some options for IUOE Local 132 Union Members Families to help with the cost of college. Provides an approximate $500 scholarship. The scholarship recipient(s) must be the son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter of a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (I.U.O.E.), Local #132.
You will become entitled to Medicare Benefits when you reach age sixty-five (65). Should you be found Totally and Permanently Disabled through the Social Security Administration, you may become entitled to Medicare Benefits twenty-four (24) months from the date you were found disabled.
