Being heard is an integral part of the human experience. We all report feeling most satisfied, fulfilled, and connected when we have a sense of ownership over our own emotional well-being. For individuals as well as those in relationships, the path to self-esteem can be complicated.

Services
I have been rewarded by helping thousands of clients over the last 34-plus years as a licensed therapist and trauma counselor. I hold Masters Degrees from Purdue University and The University of Illinois and carry six licenses in Ohio (Retired license), Nevada and Washington (Active licenses). I have practiced in Washington since 1995.
I genuinely derive satisfaction from working with my clients and assisting them to accomplish their personal goals. My professional focus has been identifying techniques to achieve these desired goals. I frequently review direction and progress in a collaborative manner with my clients.

There are many types of therapeutic counseling techniques available. Each has its appropriate use. Some newer counseling techniques, particularly Lifespan Integration (LI) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), have been demonstrated to help clients deal quickly with a single episode trauma.
Life feels rewarding and fulfilling when we feel heard, respected and connected to those around us. Most people seek a sense of inner peace and an ability to have compatible relationships with family, friends and colleagues. Counseling is appropriate when we find that our ability to cope is stretched to the limit, when we feel our efforts are falling short or when we have difficulty communicating our desired intentions.

I gave a couple months of patience, only to find my husband gets more resistant, more reluctant and more passive about almost everything than even before going to her. I then request to have individual sessions with her too, and later to have joint sessions so that she can help glue the relationship. She refused to do that. She might be good at giving emotional support during a heartbreaking divorce, but if you are a couple hoping
