This is NOT the Guare and Sons Funeral Home my family has used for generations; and after my most recent experience, I would not entrust this funeral home with the porcelain flush of a goldfish, let alone the services provided to a human being and those left behind. I am going to be very frank here and for those of you who have had a difficult, or destructive and painful relationship with the recently deceased person in your life hopefully you will now be better prepared than I was. First off, I will acknowledge that it is the deceased persons right to plan their funeral/lack thereof/viewing-if

My family and I are so grateful for the support we received from Guare's when my brother died in a tragic accident. I was making arrangements from 1500 miles away with Jon while local family were working with Will on other things needing to be addressed. Gracious, kind, responsive, respectful and supremely cooperative are words that barely begin to describe our experience with them in a traumatic situation.

Jon, the new owner, is a very professional, yet very compassionate and personal funeral director. He is incredibly detail-oriented and knowledgeable in his field. One appreciates his poise and his smooth handling of every aspect of the funeral ceremonies during such an emotionally crushing and disabling time.
