Douglas Auto Body, Inc. was founded by Owner and Manager Douglas Fiala. Doug has a long history in the collision repair industry. In 1978, Doug started as a car detailer. From there he worked his way through a painting apprenticeship, then advanced to body and frame repair. Doug has worked as a collision technician and painter at several local body shops.
He continued his career working as an estimator and attended structural estimating classes at Triton College, Mitchell international, Phoenix Solutions, I-car and General Motors. Doug went on to manage the collision repair shop at Bower Buick, Cullerton Cadillac, and finally Lawrence Cadillac. Doug now owns and manages Douglas Auto Body, Inc.

Douglas Auto Body Inc. is grateful that many of our customers don't frequent the collision repair industry; here are some answers to many frequently asked questions. Douglas Auto Body does not have any loaner cars, but we have a close relationship with both local branches of Hertz and Enterprise. We would be glad to set up a rental for you!
I feel very comfortable taking my cars to Douglas Auto Body and have explicit confidence in their work. They do excellent work and I trust the owner. Tire pressure is very important to your safety. Improper tire pressure will cause your tires to wear out faster and could cause your car to handle differently than it should.

I had some minor damage on my Honda Pilot, including damage to a sideview mirror that scraped a wall. It had been bothering for a while, so I stopped by and asked Doug for a quote. He gave me a fair and reasonable quote, so I opted to go ahead with the work. Doug and his team far exceeded my expectations! The work is top quality! Doug and his team are true professionals. I found them to be honest, reasonable, and very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend.

I went to the Range Rover dealer about my door not closing. I wasnt impressed on how they handled it but sent to a body shop in Wood Dale. I stopped by Douglas at lunchtime and the gentlemen(might be the owner) showed me the latch and as all his men were at lunch, went inside fixed it and didnt ask for anything in return. We will be bringing back our other car that the 16 year old banged up. Thank you for your customer service!!!

My car was damaged while parked and I called Douglas Auto Body the next day. They were able to repair and have it looking like new. They kept it to within the estimated amount and finished it sooner than expected. The service was excellent and professional. I would highly recommend anyone to give them the opportunity when looking for an auto body business.

Excellent service and quality from start to finish. My family has been taking our cars to Douglas Auto Body since I was in high school and my wife and I will continue to take our vehicles there well into the future. Doug, Matt, and Jessica are all great and go above and beyond for their customers. They make the unpleasant experience of getting in an accident much easier to manage and hassle free, and they're the only shop we would trust our cars to!

Took my car here after an accident. Everything was so easy and painless from the estimate to the repairs. After they started the work, they realized they had to order some more parts and do additional repairs- I was notified right away and kept up to date about the progress. This was a great experience. The stress of an accident that was not my fault and the extra drain on my time and resources to consult with insurance, rental car agency, and buying a new car, I felt very taken care of here. I used to go to CASCI in Forest Park, but they got bought out by the Abra chain. I'd hoped they'd be the same, but they're taking cues from Firestone now. My wife's car had a small bash that kept the driver's door from fully opening. I asked Abra for an estimate for just fixing the bend in the sheet metal, to be paid by me out of pocket. They also added in replacing the grill and fender (which only have cosmetic paint damage) and repainting multiple parts for

Like any other car guy as usual our cars are always thought of as being in mint cond well my caddy dts was untill some a young very respectful left hand turning and then at the last min not looking and decided to turn right (after impact he ran to my dooor and asked are you and your wife ok it was my fault and i am very soory what should we do now i said i will call the police he said i will call my mom - lol) well i insisted to the to the kids ins company that the body work be done at DOUGLAS AUTO BODY because i have known of them for over 30 years even when they were connected to the local caddy

I want to start by saying that I am the kind of woman that always passes the torch to her husband when it comes to auto repairs of any kind. I hate not knowing the basics and feeling like I am going to be totally taken advantage of as a result. Recently though, I was on a time deadline to get some body work done, and my husband's work schedule did not allow for him to help me out. So I ventured out into the unknown and got several estimates for my body damage.

The staff is incredibly friendly and easy to work with, and the owner, Doug, ensures that every car that comes into his shop comes out quickly and beautifully. Douglas Auto Body did a great job on my car. They went the extra mile to explain, in detail, what they were doing and kept me updated with pictures throughout the process.
