Shun Fat Supermarket is a rapidly-growing Asian supermarket chain selling a wide range of imported grocery items from around the globe, including China, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Mexico. In 1993, Chinese-Vietnamese entrepreneur and seafood wholesaler Hieu Tran opened our first location in 1993 to serve the Chinese community of Monterey Park, California.

Since our founding nearly 20 years ago, we have experienced rapid expansion thanks to strong customer loyalty and the excellent support and cooperation of our suppliers. We currently have a total of 13 stores conveniently located throughout California, Nevada, and Texas. Freshness and variety are the cornerstones of the Shun Fat Supermarket group.

Great selection of all the Asian products I grew up with and everything is very organized! What I love most is all the fresh produce, they take great care when putting items out and the prices are phenomenal!

I am able to knock out a ton of items on my list pretty quickly and checkout is fast. I haven't purchased any meat or seafood from this location but I've heard great things about it.

The only downside is the lack of carts. Usually, if you need a cart, you have to search the parking lots to get one. People don't ever put them back and I don't think they have employees

If your not Asian they will treat you like crap. I went to buy some beef bone and the guy was extremely rude and literally talked smack about me in Vietnamese right in my face with his other butcher friend. When I asked him for a different meat it was like asking for his first born child. Rude SOB!

This is my favorite Asian market in San Diego - I love the meat section and all the condiments. I wish that they would use less plastic/styrofoam/packaging in the produce section - fruits and veggies don't need to be wrapped in plastic!

I came here several times. The store was big and clean. They have every Vietnamese product I need. The only thing is about cashiers. I haven't seen them smile to customers. Maybe they got tired after hours at work.

Nice one-stop shop grocery store with all your Asian grocery needs. I had a hard time finding shopping carts/baskets when I got here. And was also bummed that I bought a bag of really plump looking longans on discount, that all turned out to be rotten on the inside. Was otherwise content with my experience. Found everything I needed and check out was fast.

Been coming here for grocery
people at the meat section, as always, are rude and impolite.
shout out to the tall guy who is very rude and too slow to move and not accommodating as if you owe him every time you ask him to check on the display
wondering if nobody evaluates him.

Horrible service at the fish/seafood section. Workers just ignore you and when you ask them for help they wave their hand back at you with the gesture to calm down.

Don't ever spend your money here. Customers service is Horrible and misleading prices. The sign was there and the products were there but when they charged me was different and when we asked for price check. This lady came with the attitude and told me to look for the barcode and the name must be match. I took her there and the price and name matched then she said, this price is impossible and she peeled of off and started talking in Chinese to each other like I'm was Stupid. Well, even customer in front of me said the same thing, the price wasn't right at all. Will never come here

I'm all about supporting local businesses in my community. I will probably still spend some money here, very carefully. What more can I say that hasn't been said? Rude cashiers, dirty floors, rotting food.
We are in a food desert here in LV. Fast food all around. It doesn't help that the few grocery stores around here, end up like this place.

This is an incredible supermarket, I dont get to shop here often, But when i do, I always find some of the best foods and seasonings here. We have several Vietnamese markets all over Garden Grove and Westminster. I Buy tuna, Duck, Lamb, Salmon, and all of the freshest produce ever. They also sell your standard food and treatys youd find in American markets. Oranges and Apples are fresh here. They have lots of Watermelons and Cherries for good prices. Nonthing is overpriced here. Most of the items here are inexpensive. Markets are clean, Except sometimes i may see fruit flies flying around the

This place feels like they have every alcohol you can think of. They have a wide selections and priced 10%-15% lower than your local liquor store. They also have a lot of dried quid, dried fish and other snacks to paired with when drinking.

It's a nice one stop shop.

Really big store . I have to do laps around here to find what I need . They have a lot of varieties of boba ice cream. Produce can be hit or miss . The brown sugar boba ice cream is my favorite . Sometimes I venture out and try the others.
They fry fish here for a small fee. There's a little boba shop and a sushi Togo stand inside.
The henny and cognac is cheaper than the American markets .

Be careful when you shop here. I bought 2 packs of LoMein and Chow Mein fresh noodles and a box of rambutans.
The noodles didn't have expiration dates on them. I thought they should be ok but within 2 days when I wanted to use them, they were moldy. I opened one and smelled mold and quickly checked the other pack and found the same thing.
The box of rambutans was $30. The top layer was filled with red fresh rambutans. Upon opening the saran wrap, I found the bottom layers were black, moldy and rotten. I only ate about 7 good ones on the top. What a scam!
Upon calling the store and asking for

Check your food THUROGHLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im dissapointed and sad from this. I go for spices and well priced fish and specific cuts of meat, and decided to pick up veggies on my way out.... mites and gnats in my mixed bokchoy and carrots..
To be 100% honest, there were a couple of gnats inside the wrapper, and i was goin to give the benefit of the doubt as i can understand the strenuous task of packing 100000000x items of produce each day and keeping things as clean as possible (thinkin to myself 'I dont want to be THAT B**** and complain about a gnat or 2.').... but the buggies inside

Since my cat transitioned to raw diet, I've been looking for well priced Chicken meat in every supermarket, trying to find a balance of price and quality. Granted I normally shop in H mart, Ranch 99, Walmart and Ralphs. Since there were some mandarin characters on the storefront, and the look and feel were much like Ranch 99, I thought I'd give it a shot.

The chicken breasts sold here did not have a pack by or sell by date. All blank. You have to take your chance with it. Since it's during covid I couldn't even take it back. It's already developed a flimsy layer when I

This market is nice and big. It’s bright and clean and mostly empty on a Wednesday when I went. They have a whole isle of foods that would interest my Latinx peeps. It says Mexican but we all know Goya is a European 👀 company. But anyway, the whole sauce isle is intense. I want to buy every sauce. 🤤 anyway you have to come down and give this store a chance!

It's a shame I don't like Viet cuisine as much as other Asian cuisines! I like pho but who doesn't? Other than that I don't like much viet food. However if you're looking for a good deal on produce & other stuff, come here. I gotta say the parking ... watch out! I parked in the back to avoid getting my car dinged as people park crazy & carts are everywhere.

If ya know... ya know that INDOMIE Noodles are available here! 30 pack too!! :: drool :: & that is why I come here friends! However they seem to always be almost sold out when I come. For a box that contains

We stopped by here not long ago while in SoCal. It's like a Viet super Wal-Mart. They have groceries, clothes, costume jewelry, dishes etc. I got some cute high heels for $20. American size 8 is not common here just fyi as they run in small. Lots of goodies to choose from especially if you're buying gifts. They have a little bit of everything here. Check it out if you're in the area!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: I came here for the mock meats and stayed for the impressive array of produce and other goods.

I've been going to Korean and Japanese markets for decades, but I'd never really been interested in going to a Vietnamese market until i decided to go vegetarian. After getting the tip from a friend that Vietnamese supermarkets had a great selection of mock meats, I decided to take a gander and was not disappointed. There is a whole frozen aisle devoted to mock meats and vegetarian products that was like discovering Ali Baba's cave. All those intriguing and mysterious

I stop in here once every few months to stock up on my staple Asian condiments and noodles. A lot cheaper here than at Ralph's, etc. I haven't been here since January due to pandemic but stopped in this weekend to grab several items.

Their produce is cheap and I value being able to walk into their produce section and purchase Asian veggies and fruits for an economical price.

The store is large, busy with many employees manning the aisles to assist with questions, etc. Customer service is good!

The grocery carts aren't the best but this place has a lot to offer. I purchased

Huge Asian grocery store. Yes, it's smelly. But I've never seen a place with live/fresh seafood that it's not. I particularly think it's part of the deal. They have a big produce section and the prices are good. Will be back. :)
