While attending App State, Jonathan Landry met his wife Abby Landry. They moved to Waynesville in 2008. Jonathan married into a family of Haywood County homebuilders going back four generations. He quickly earned a North Carolina General Contracting License, and after six years working with his father-in-law under the JL Builders name, he started Kaizen Homes in 2018.

Positive: Quality
Jonathan did a great job constructing our home. To be honest, there were some challenges; building a house in the middle of a pandemic, with changing labor and material costs is not an easy job! However, Jonathan always had our best interests at heart, and we are very happy with our new home.

We moved into our home that Kaizen Homes built in 2016. The whole process from beginning to move in was well planned, professional, and very collaborative between the builder, Jonathan Landry, and ourselves. He uses software that organizes the selection process for fixtures, trims etc. for the customer. This was extremely helpful. He was careful with our budget and if issues or concerns came up they were communicated immediately. Jonathan and his team did a quality job in every aspect of our home. We had no issues after our move in. I would highly recommend Jonathan as a home builder!

Great customer service, honesty, and a strong work ethic are traits we look for when hiring a person to build our dream home. I’ve had the privilege of working with Jonathan Landry of Kaizen Homes. He possesses all of the above mentioned qualities, and much more.
One of my favorite “Jonathan” stories is about the day we volunteered at an Asheville Area Habitat For Humanity Build in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. It was one of the coldest days I’ve ever experienced while working on a construction site! Some of the volunteers didn’t even show up, due to the harsh weather conditions
