Weight-bearing exercise benefits your bones as it helps them stay in shape and prevents brittleness. As you engage in gymnastics, you condition your muscles to be more flexible. Not only can this benefit you while you do gymnastics itself, but it also reduces the risk of injury. Because you have to use your muscles to such a large degree while doing gymnastics, the sport will definitely make you stronger and tone your muscles.
Designed for boys and girls between 2.5 and 5.5 years old, our pre-school program helps kids start to learn gymnastics while also teaching life skills. Pre-schoolers will become confident, while learning how to swing, roll around, count, tell colors, and more! in order to keep our pre-schoolers learning and moving along, we max these 45 minute classes at 6:1 student to teacher ratio.

As the owner of NGTC, the gym has grown from just 7 gymnasts in 2008, to what you see today. And the future looks very bright! Look for her around the gym as nobody spends more time at NGTC than Tina. Eric was the Director of Golf / Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach at Portland State University for 10 years.
Keep a close eye as we will soon begin offering baby class time for parent and pre-walking infants. A: We are proud to offer the best value in gymnastics training in the entire Portland Area. Our prices are more expensive than other gyms in the area. However, we invest a great deal of time and money into training and continuing education for all our coaches and staff.
Our parent-tot program is for toddlers when they start walking, up to 2.5 years. This program is designed to help with the development of your child. Due to parents being involved, these classes are maxed at an 8:1 student to teacher ratio. Designed for boys and girls between 2.5 and 5.5 years old, our pre-school program helps kids start to learn gymnastics while also teaching life skills.
Sign your pre-school aged son or daughter up for safe, fun, tumbling and learning! The program is designed with the new, young and very inquisitive little gymnast in mind. He or she will have plenty of opportunity to explore all the equipment that is safe for him/her to use. In addition, we play games, learn some stretching, and give them a foundation for gymnastics.
Most of the members at NGTC are recreational gymnasts. This category is assigned to all classes that aren't part of the competitive teams. Following USA Gymnastics guidelines for Skill Level determinations and utilizing our own custom curriculum, your daughter will not miss a beat as she builds the strength, flexibility, skills and confidence required to move to the next level.

This training center has been great to us. The owner Tina teaches the morning class and is so great with the kids. She knows how to get them to listen and has a great time. My 3 year old went through a phase he refused to let me go and didn’t want to go and when he was in there he disrupted classes. I wanted to pull him out but she kept working with him and now he can’t wait to go to class and does so well! Thanks Tina!

The price is too much but the thing that bothers me the most is the overall attitude of the staff. There is a level of professionalism I expect that just isn't there and they don't have the insight to be able to see that to change. They think highly of themselves, that's fine but you lose my business. They probably don't care and that is the problem. If you sign on just know it's painful to terminate. Maybe I'm an idealist I just think we need to take better care of one another. Cheers, good luck.

STAY AWAY!! YOU CAN FIND WAY BETTER!!
These people are just plain out to get your money. I took my daughter here and will never return. The owners are trash and do not care about your kids all they care about is the money..
⭐Policies that must be complied with? WTH does that mean? That if some one decides to take a break that you can hold there cancelation hostage until you sign it to get just a little more money from them every month.

As a mother to four children, it has been a God send to network with the owner of this gym. I haven't previously gotten my kiddos involved in gymnastics and the owner helped answer all the questions I had. She even gave me discounts on services that fit in our budget. She was kind to my family, given it can be hard to find companies that are understanding our cultural background, She was respectful to us. I highly recommend checking it out.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and treated every single person that walked in for "date night" (open gym for 3 hours) as though they've known one another forever. I was greeted with a smile and they gave off a "Cheers" vibe. The place where everybody knows your names, kids names, and all of your details further demonstrating that these people CARE. I watched as the coaches and staff were consistently able to watch the couple dozen kiddos all at the same time without missing a beat. I'd guess that anyone claiming they don't monitor safety is full of it based on the fact that they're likely

I cannot believe I thought this business was worth a shot. I read all the awful reviews and thought, well maybe things change. No. Tina is emotionally unstable. I came into the office and asked to fill out the drop notice. We had multiple issues with the couches. They don’t teach kids. They stretch the kids for the first 20 min while walking back and forth fo discuss drama with the other coaches. It’s like I’m back in high school. (as others have mentioned) my kids did not enjoy so I decided it’s time to pull them out.. when I mentioned this to Tina she became almost maniac. Started accusing

GO ELSEWHERE!
I agree with all the one star reviews and wish I read reviews before signing my children up. This establishment does not put children’s safety first. Tina (the owner) is extremely rude. When she goes out to teach the class it’s a complete joke. The instructors themselves are all high-schoolers that make kids stretch repetitively while they gossip with each other. After an entire year my kids did not learn anything. What a waste of money. You can do so much better.

Listen to all the reviews and do not give this business your money. I wish I read the reviews before signing up. There was a miscommunication with the office and instead of calling me and discussing the issue. Tina decided to ignore all my voicemails, emails and instead have her teen staff shake me down for money. It’s absolutely absurd the way they treat people. Tina and I would talk during my kids practice so I thought we had a good relationship. It’s very disheartening to see that she just saw me as another payment.

PARENT BEWARE!! Don't do it and learn from my mistake!!
My child got injured, questioned weren't answered and terminated our contract while in the ER.
We had been attending the gym enrolled in a weekly class for just about 4 months. Class for the most part was ok for the price and what we were looking for at the time.
We attended our first open gym which was told instead of paying for one on one, open gym were a better/cheaper option to get more practice.
We attended our first open gym. The kids gather went over rules and then were off to go to rotating stations. No structure and 2 coaches
