Services
With over 40 years of experience, we provide the highest quality cabinetry and millwork, at affordable prices. One of the main principles of CDC is a passion for custom woodworking. Our founder, Dr. William A. Hinson began restoring antique furniture while attending medical school at the University of Florida (UF).
Cabinetry is designed using the latest in CAD technologies. G Code is then generated for the CNC Router, which cuts all parts necessary to construct the custom cabinets. Additional cut lists are generated for door and drawer front sizes. Pre-finished sheets of Birch plywood are loaded onto the vacuum table of the CNC router, which holds the material in place.
Our millwork process provides custom design and molding in all species of wood using our two moulders. With a full service mill, we can take material in the rough from the stage of reclaimed beam, and mill and mold it into whatever is desired. The SCMI 6 head moulder uses custom cut, profiled cutters to shape wood for crown mold, baseboard, and other millwork.
Architectural Millwork embodies specialty items such as doors, elliptical and radius moldings, and non-standard built-ins that require a great deal of woodworking knowledge, experience, and the right equipment to complete. The Biesse CNC router is a computer numerical control router used to cut and machine cabinet parts, reducing time and material costs. The SCMI 6 head moulder uses custom cut, profiled cutters to shape wood for crown mold, baseboard, and other millwork. The Biesse Edgebander glues various color veneer bands to the unfinished edges of all plywood panels.
