Hey everyone, I'm Dylan, owner of Dillweedscustomwood, and this is my story. I started out in a career in the oil field, working my way up from a deckhand to a captain. After 5 years, I lost my job. In 2016, I came home with a particular skillset that didn't apply on land. Multiple layoffs made it hard for anyone to get a job in the oil field.
After a year of being home I got married, and with a son on the way, I knew I'd have to find something to do to provide for my family. One day, my brother comes to me and shows me pictures of river tables and I knew I wanted to try my hand at it. I took my last bit of money I had saved and purchased some slabs and epoxy.

I commissioned a custom table for my wife, and the process could not have been any easier. It's not easy for a craftsman to work with a client 1,000 miles away, but Dylan executed perfectly and kept in touch the whole time, with a reasonable cost as well. Highly recommend him and will purchase from Dylan again.

I asked Dylan to make me a cutting board and coasters that would incorporate bullets and resin, he delivered the most amazing work I could have ever asked for! He is my go-to guy for woodworking now and is always very understanding of what you want and tries to work with you to improve it in any way he can. I 100% recommend him!!!!

So far I own a couple different pieces from Dillweedscustomwood, and I know it's just the start of a very beautiful collection.
Each piece is an excellent conversation starter, and everyone I show my Dillweeds tray and coasters to wants them for themselves. I would 100% recommend Dillweedscustomwood to anyone!

I can’t say enough great things about this company. He finished our crib project well before our deadline, kept us informed along the way, threw in the amazing stencil carving work as a bonus, offered different burn patterns to fit our liking, showed us samples of the different epoxy dyes, I can go on and on. His attention to detail is fantastic, the inside of the pieces are flush so the baby can’t knock his head on an overhang, but the outside has a nice offset that’s aesthetically pleasing. Countersunk bolt holes with threads instead of screws to ensure there’s no stripping during assembly
