Thank you for visiting the website of Dr. Kylene Fernandez. Our site provides important information about our practice that will help you become more familiar with pediatric dentistry. Our office is committed to providing your child with the highest quality of care. We will make every effort to ensure that your child's visits with us are comfortable and informative.

We strive to make each child feel at ease in an environment dedicated purely for them. Dr. Fernandez and her staff develop one-on- one relationships with patients and their parents. Use a toothbrush with soft bristles and a small strip of fluoride toothpaste. When you brush your teeth, move the brush in small circular motions to reach food particles that may be under your gum line.

She then graduated in 1991 from the OSU College of Dentistry, receiving a Special Certificate for her work in the area of pediatric dentistry.
We try to stay on schedule to minimize waiting at the time of your appointment. Delays to the schedule can occur and your understanding and patience is very much appreciated. If your child has pain or an emergency situation please call the office. If this occurs after office hours you will hear instructions on the voice message.
Baby bottle tooth decay is a pattern of rapid decay associated with prolonged nursing. It happens when a child goes to sleep while breast-feeding and/or bottle-feeding. During sleep, the flow of saliva is reduced and the natural self-cleansing action of the mouth is diminished. Avoid nursing children to sleep or putting anything other than water in their bedtime bottle.

Better hope you don’t have any sick kids on appointment day or have something come up that requires you to reschedule. I had four kids who loved this office - and they cancelled our whole family because they count each kid as a reschedule and I had twice I needed to reschedule the group - once for kids with fevers and once for another reason. Said they’d see me on cash only basis for 30 days even though we have insurance. For a kids office this sure isn’t family friendly. They don’t even warn you - just made us inactive. EXTREMELY disappointed.

Money hungry.
Staff Refused to check in our 5 years old daughter till we pay sixty dollars, because we paid a bill 2 weeks late. We paid late because we were struggling during and in the aftermath of the toughest COVID-19 periods.
Also, for three appointments in a row, our daughter refused to cooperate and open her mouth, she was scared, however, they never let us in with her, they just take the SIXTY DOLLARS for that type of anesthesia, then they walk our daughter out with no work done on her teeth- THE REASON: “we” don’t allow parents inside.
This is a very inhuman way of treating not

Amazing work on my 3 year old! I highly recommend Dr Kylene! Trustworthy of dental work on young children, she does an amazing job!!! The staff is kid friendly and super fun with little ones!!
Dr Kylene saves 8 of my daughters baby teeth! We were told by 2 other observations that they would all need pulled (the 8). Dr Kylene did not have to pull any and saved my 3 year olds, baby teeth! We are thankful to have kept looking and found Dr K. Fernandez! Our experience was great and we will continue to see her for regular visits ! Recovery is better then expected !!!!
A+

Excellent experience for our 16 y.o., who just now required fillings for the first time.
We highly recommend this practice, to which we've taken our kids since preschool.
Everyone from receptionist, to the technician, to the folks who handle billing and, of course, Dr. Kylene, were great! (Thanks, folks!)

Not only did they tell me that 2 of my 3 children needed IV sedation to fill cavities (which they did not) because they were traumatized by the dentist (we have had no issue whatsoever with the new dentist we switched to), we also never saw the dentist when my son got his orthodontia work done there. I would never recommend this practice.
