Located just behind and associated with Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital, the Pet Lodge & Outfitters is a 5,000-square-foot facility that offers comfortable lodging for your pet as a part of Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital. The staff at the Pet Lodge is dedicated to providing the most stress-free and enjoyable boarding experience possible.
Here at Tehachapi Pet Lodge our pledge is to treat our boarding guests as if they were our own beloved pets. Your pet's care and comfort are our primary concerns during their stay here at the Lodge. We strive to provide the most comfortable and pleasant accommodations for your pet while you are away.
Vacation time for your pet should be just as good an experience as vacation time for you. Our staff at Tehachapi Pet Lodge understands this and strives to create a wonderful loving atmosphere where your pet can enjoy their stay while you're away. Please be sure to plan ahead by making sure that your pet is up to date on all required vaccinations at least 14 days before their stay.

For our feline boarders the Lodge offers a separate cat wing with its own heating, cooling, and ventilation system.
For the health and safety of our boarding pets, all cats and dogs must be current on required vaccinations and Proof of Vaccination must be provided to The Lodge at least 48 hours prior to the first day of boarding. We require that boarders be vaccinated ten days or more prior to boarding. Please note: for dogs, the first influenza, vaccination must be given twenty-one days prior to boarding.

Not great at all. I Recommend any other very if possible. The staff was rude upon check in. There are no signs telling you to wait outside just one that says wear a mask when you come in. They get very mad if you follow the posted signs and go in. I called to see what the policy was out of I could have someone meet me outside or if they had masks because I lost mine. She answered, said she would explain how it worked, put me on hold for over 5 minutes, only to tell me someone meets me at the door and we aren't allowed in. She was rude when getting my information to check my pet in. Then the wait

They have always treated me great. I spent a lot of time there recently, dealing with end of life care for my puppy, and saw how many people are impatient, ungrateful, and rude, and they never once showed anything but understanding and compassion to anyone. They took care of my baby, and took the time to explain, and comfort me, for the decisions I needed to make. Their love and compassion for their patients was impossible to miss. Thank you.

We were clients for 10 years, which they don’t seem to care about. Tried to make an appointment to spay our dog for the last 2 months. Every time we call they say they booked and to call at the beginning of the next month. We did that and we were told again they are booked for the following month...how do you get an appointment then? So much for customer loyalty. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Great pet hospital. I bring my cat and dog here and they are always great with them. I don't carry pet insurance and their prices are very reasonable. I trust them completely with the health of my pets. Even with covid the wait times aren't terrible. And when it's going to take awhile they tell you that you can go home or run errands and they will call you when they are done. Very respectful and cheerful staff. Love this place.
