Services
Southern Kern Veterinary Clinic, Inc is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Southern Kern Veterinary Clinic, Inc., is fully equipped to perform most surgical procedures. Prior to each procedure, every patient receives a thorough physical examination and laboratory blood testing to check on overall health and identify any anesthetic risks. We perform a variety of surgical procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters to advanced soft tissue surgery.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your convenience, drop-off' appointments are available.
Dr. Stephanie Darrow began practicing at Southern Kern Veterinary Clinic, Inc. in 2009. She graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Prior to moving to the Antelope Valley, she was a large animal veterinarian in northern California, where she treated horses, goats, sheep, as well as llamas and alpacas.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Stopped in here on a Thursday for their shot clinic. Our Snickers was in and out, we only waited 15 minutes at the most. Great experience for us and our little guy.

Great folks! Exceptional care! My dog is terrified of cars, leashes and vets (rescue dog) and the care she received was way above and beyond. When I tried to leave, she drug me back INTO the vets office. Cannot thank them enough!

I almost can’t believe it, I had the worst experience I’ve ever had a few weeks ago and refused to go back to the place I went too. My cat needed his stitches out and I decided to go somewhere closer to home, and let me just say I’m in shock. This place is soo amazing and everyone there was so caring, the best place! Highly recommend.

Took my service dog, poodle mix, Riley Angel, to get his yearly WellCare check up and vaccinations today. The staff and Vet Dr are all friendly, caring and patient with their patients, animal & owners alike. Thought that I would need to refreshed the Dr's memory from a year ago when we 1st visited and started the process of explaining he has doggie acne, he doesn't eat doggie food, we bake or cook all his human meals, he's got some tarter on his teeth, etc and she remembered him from a year ago on his 1st ever visit. Not even my own dr does that and I pretty much see her monthly. Now that's some

They are caring and kind and gentle. They will tell you the truth and if they have to send you out somewhere they will not send you somewhere that will take advantage of you. They are a small office and give you personal attention by employees that have been there for years. Love them.

Absolutely amazing clinic! My pup is always scared of the vet clinic, even with all the visits we have but she relaxes the moment the Dr. walks in! They treat you and your animals with the utmost love and respect. Dr. Darrow & Dr. Flynn are both wonderful, we even followed Dr. Flynn from a different practice she was working at to ensure we could continue receiving her care. They recommended what needs to be done, but don't push weekends it's not Absolutely a necessary procedure, which is definitely a nice aspect when unfortunately money is tough in this economy. I only wish they treated birds.
