Services
We are within a few miles of four regional hospitals and minutes off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Routes 376 and 22. These accesses are convenient for visitors and our attending and consulting physicians. And we have no parking fees! Our facility features spacious bedrooms, lounges and dining rooms.
After a hospitalization for medical or surgical reasons, a person may require nursing support for care such as medication administration, intravenous medication, wound care, nutrition monitoring or health teaching. At LGAR, nursing and other clinical care is blended with rest and relaxation so recovery occurs at a comfortable pace and plans to return home are well prepared.
Our attending and consultant physicians are in regular contact with their patients via on-site visits, electronic and telephone communications with the nursing staff. The Doctors are affiliated with our nearby acute care hospitals. Consultant physicians are from wound management, psychiatry, dentistry, physiatry, audiology, podiatry and optometry.
Our employees form the foundation upon which our organization succeeds. We are proud of the tenure of our staff and the frequent compliments received about their kindness, care and knowledge of elder healthcare. LGAR took my Father into their facility after having a stroke.
They charged approx 9000$ per month to Medicare to "take care of him".
In May of this year, he almost died there as he became dehydrated and they did not send him to the hospital. We had to call from TX and insist that he be sent for help.
Then, on August 1st, he fell out of his chair twice in one day and was again sent to the hospItal.
He was diagnosed with pneumonia, cellulitis in his right leg, and a staph infection in his left arm; three potentially life threatening conditions all being un-treated or under- treated by LGAR.
