Therapy assists people in solving personal problems and leading more satisfying and meaningful lives. Through self-discovery, people identify barriers to leading a fulfilling life and gain skills and confidence to overcome them. Restoration of hope, achievement of well-being, understanding of personal goals and values, and improvement of relationships are common outcomes.
Our experienced nurse practitioners take time with each client to understand their unique strengths, challenges, and needs. They provide comprehensive evaluation of psychiatric issues from a holistic approach. This can include but is not limited to: Integrative Medicine, Natural Therapies, Mind-Body Therapies, Essential Oils, etc.
River Valley offers teletherapy as an easy and convenient option for our clients to stay healthy and engaged in their care even from a distance. River Valley understands that some clients live in more remote locations or may struggle with mental health symptoms that make it more difficult to drive or leave their home.
Anyone can benefit from art therapy. In fact, artistic experience is not required. Art Therapy is about the process of making art to explore feelings, view different perspectives, and to process events in a safe space. Art therapy provides a non-judgmental space to explore, problem solve, and may provide resolution.

Sign up with Matt, he's awesome! If you have complaints after meeting with him, then you're nuts and there's no therapist you'll like.

Do not go here I went here a couple years ago all they do is push pills on you and that causes other issues pills are not the only answer. I saw Lea who runs the place I' am not going into details because my experience was so pathetic and very frustrating. I got NO HELP for my issue. Find it some place else.

My experience working with River Valley BHWC has been nothing short of wonderful. The specialist that I have been working with at this practice has been very helpful in helping me find calmness, gratitude and intention with regards to how I live my life. I have gained perspective and clarity through my sessions and acceptance for whatever life throws my way. The staff at the center is also highly professional and very kind. 10/10

Terrible place. Do NOT send your loved ones here. My girlfriend goes there to get help with anxiety and bipolar and all they do is shove pills down your throat. She goes in at least twice a month because the medication she's taking has severe mental side effects and everytime they try to give her more of the med so she doesn't 'withdrawal'. This last time they prescribed memantine. Over the first weekend this put her in the ER two separate times.. their only way of helping is to offer meds that make you more crazy then before you took them. Also they will charge you $100 if your 15 minutes late
