Grand Street CSA
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, a program for purchasing fresh produce from a regional farm. With a CSA, you buy a fixed-price "share" of a farm's output at the beginning of the season, and receive a selection of their harvest once a week from the beginning of June through the beginning of November.

CSAs reduce wasted food (in good years) and financial loss (in bad years), allowing smaller farms to avoid some of the great risk of their business. In return, you get fresh, organic vegetables delivered right to your neighborhood. For more general history about CSAs, check out Wikipedia; for more information about CSAs in NYC, hop over to Just Food.
Services
Norwich Meadows Farm provides certified organic vegetables to CSAs, restaurants, grocers and greenmarkets located throughout NYC. Zaid Kurdieh, his partner Yusuf Harper, and their families started their farm in 1998 and expanded in 2000. The two families joined together not only to supply their own families with quality, organically grown food, but also to create a community around their farm.
Wear a mask, bring a bag for carrying any add-ons and your share (including the box) with you. Check to see how many people are inside and how many are allowed in the Bakeshop at the same time. Note that this may change between pick ups, dependent on current health/safety policies. Add-ons - Please let us know if you have add-ons (eggs, fruit, etc.) and be sure to check that you have all your items before you leave the shop.
