Services
They are present. Not only in our collective memory but in our collective consciousness. Their deaths at the hands of the police serve as the fuel that feeds the massive mobilization of thousands across the United States, and most of the world, against centuries of discrimination, injustice and violence, all fueled by racism, against Black people and other people of color.
For 85 years we have accompanied rural people in addressing the structural causes of poverty and injustice in their communities. AMI has partners in the US and world that work in solidarity to take action and promote racial equity and socially just solutions for rural communities.

Aimed at providing education and information to our North America partners and their constituency for action and advocacy on issues such as economic justice, food security and the environment that affect the global community of rural people. We provide information, education and training for advocacy on issues that are of importance to rural communities and peoples.
This program provides partners long-term capacity building assistance in the restoration of their communities, organizations and programs following devastating events such as war or natural disasters. We work with local partners to develop human, social and economic capital and build infrastructure that restores their capacity to fulfill the role they are called to do during and after the crisis.
Despite the abundance of water from adequate rainfall, numerous rivers that flow year round and seasonal streams, the West African countries of Liberia and Sierra Leone suffer from a lack of safe drinking water, resulting in the prevalence of waterborne illnesses. This problem is particularly acute in rural villages where the infrastructure to treat and distribute water is totally absent.
