Dr. Heather Ronngren grew up in a small town in western Washington before attending Eastern Washington University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After practicing dental hygiene for five years as a clinician and educator she continued her dental career at Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, completing her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2007 with academic and clinical honors.
Dr. Ronngren worked in both public and private practice, as well as, teaching for two dental schools and a residency program before starting her own women led practice. Dr. Ronngren takes pride in her work and enjoys caring for patients of all ages, while doing her best to make every dental experience positive.

NorthStar came recommended by two of my trusted friends here in Flathead Valley. I have been so impressed with the level of care and attention - at every point of the process. From the professionalism demonstrated by the reception and billing folks to the detailed and thorough attention provided by the hygienist and doctor. I'm 50 years old and have never had a dental experience like this. Everything is advanced - technology, communication about options, preventative care and simply an empathic bedside (chairside) manner. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

Wow this operation is top notch. Dr. Ronngren is extremely knowledgeable and easy to get along with.. The operation is clean, well managed, and up to date. Her team is skilled and fun to interact with. A very pleasant experience each time.. regardless if it is a cleaning, filling or crown. Do yourself a solid and get this team working towards improving your dental care with your next visit. :)

I am giving Dr. Ronngren and her team a 5 because my most recent visit was outstanding. Before this latest visit, I would have rated her a solid 4 star.
I have been going to NorthStar Dental since Dr. Ronngren bought the practice. The excellent Hygienist's are still the same and the rest of the team is now top notch.
Dr. Ronngren has excellent technical skills and really cares about what she is doing. She and her team are really friendly and always go the extra bit to make sure their work is perfect.

I spent a good part of my career working in the Dental Field. It is always a joy to find an office that you would be happy to work in. The ENTIRE staff is well trained and most personable. From the time I called to set up an appointment to the time I left my first appointment I was thoroughly pleased. Highly recommend! You won't find a more caring and thorough dentist. My daughter was having teeth problems with another dentist. It was to the point where she couldn't chew on one side of her mouth. I decided to get a second opinion and consulted Dr. Ronngren because her current dentist couldn't figure it out. Within the first visit they pinpointed the problem and got it fixed. If I could give them 6 stars I would!

She has a great smile (prerequisite to being a Dentist) and great staff.
Quick and accommodating to her patients, she will treat you like family.
I liked visiting with the hygienists and techs when I could talk without hands in my mouth and feel like they were interested in me and my concerns.
The waiting area is really nice, and often features a DIY or home show and some good magazines. You don't really get to enjoy them though because you don't have to wait long.
I like coming here and will continue probably until I don't have any more
