I was having such a hard time finding a pork shoulder. I went to Ceremak and purchased what they had which was pork butt with minimal fat but hey I needed one and when I opened it, it stunk so bad that I had to throw the meat in the garbage and walk it out to the trash. This was my mother's day center piece. Elrey didn't have any and with no options and a bad day I called el camperino and asked if they had what I was looking for and they did. I cooked it today, it was a Perfect Mothers day pernil. I will be going back. Keep selling good meat at the perfect 10lb size. Thanks.

On a trip to Milwaukee to visit family, I was introduced to The Vegas Kitchen inside of Carniceria El Campesino. There is a small grocery store and butcher shop and the small taco place is in the back near the butcher area.
You can order food to go or eat inside, there are tables and chairs available. We tried the Oaxaca tamales, tacos de barbacoa and Champurrado drink. This is definitely comfort food with fairly large portion sizes. The price is not cheap but it was worth a visit.
