Since our earliest days in Calabria, Italy-when the Rotella family made rustic loaves of breads for the villagers-we have understood that baking high quality products begins with the finest of ingredients, integrated carefully with old world skills passed on from generation to generation.
Five generations later, Rotella's Italian Bakery, Inc. is among the industry's most respected, high-volume specialty bakeries, blending state-of-the-art production with old-world technique.Whereas our forefathers baked several types of breads, we now produce as many as 400 varieties-including for national and wholesale distribution, as well as household-name brands you have long trusted.

Services
The Rotella tradition begins in 1850 in Calabria, Italy, where Domenico Rotella mills his own wheat into flour. Baking in a small wood-fired oven, he sells hearty loaves to fellow villagers. Renowned as a master baker, Domenico passes the craft on to his son, Alessandro. Led by Alessandro and his wife, Maria, a born businesswoman who was educated in Italy, Rotella's Bakery begins a new life in a new world.
At Rotella's, our product development team keeps a close watch on market trends and emerging technologies that lead to innovative and top performing baked goods! Big on flavor, not size! Sweet and delicious these dark golden brown sliders have a buttery flavor that matches the indulgent qualities you'd expect from a brioche bun.
Rethink pizza night with our Meatball Pizza Bowl! Rotella's Italian Bread Bowl is perfect for creating a new twist on an old favorite. This delicious Rosemary Loaf Pub Toast recipe is easy to prepare and a perfect appetizer for any occasion! This vegetarian sandwich with blistered tomatoes, burrata cheese and fresh basil pesto is perfectly complemented by our Oat-Topped Sprouted Wheat Hoagie!

Buy Local! The ciabatta buns are divine! The Italian bread makes stellar grilled cheese! In the bakery store they sell/practically give away errored loaves (misshapen, charmingly). I can't believe all the selections in their store too! Go see for yourself, it is like a bread candy store. Muffins and buns and loaves oh my!

We are beyond blessed to have this bakery and this family in our midst.
Rotella's Bakery is a classic American success story, starting as a tiny bakery in a neighborhood
mostly comprised of Italian immigrants.
The Rotellas are about as successful as a family can be, but they never forgot from where they came, and they continue to give back.
They don't deserve five stars...they deserve 500.

If you not give this place 5 stars, something is wrong with you! Sorry not sorry!
You go in, and there are stacks and stacks of all
Different types of bread. I got 2 Vienna twist, a cinnamon raisin, and a bag of hard rolls for $3.50. One loaf of Twist is $3 at the grocery store.
Let's talk about the Hard Rolls....they are amazing. My grandma would take me and my brother and sister here to get bread and would always let us have a hard roll. Then we would have a hard roll with hard salami and provolone for lunch. If you haven't experienced this, you haven't lived. $1.20 for a huge

You can't beat the combination of cheap prices (I mean, 75 cents for a whole grain loaf of bread...seriously?!) and fresh product.
On a Saturday morning the bakery is hoping with people and they only take cash or check. The line is contained within the shop though, so there's no standing outside. You will be searching for your treasure between people, though, because everything is on the floor and the line wraps around it.
We're gonna try out the slider buns for our "Big Game" party today!

My sister came out here to Southern California. She knows how much I love Rotella's bread ! She brought with her 8 loafs of Vienna. Oh how I miss the best bread in the world !!! I see I can order online now and will be getting some more shipped to me real soon. I used to love living off of 24th street back in the 70's - the smell of Rotella's bakery was one of the best things I will always remember. (smile)

I wish I lived closer because I LOVE to come here when I want some great bread. But what I really love is the pizza dough! You can get it frozen or thawed but if you get it thawed you have to be ready to use it that day. Everything is a great price because it's the bread that was messes up and didn't make the cut to be sent to the grocery store. Which it could be a simple thing like it got a little bit more browned or the packaging label had something wrong with it. The bread is perfectly fine though. They do only take cash or check however.

This is an outstanding store for those needing various types of fresh baked bread products.
Rotella's Retail Store is located directly adjacent to their commercial bakery facility on the corner of 108th and Harrison Street.
Great selection of breads, buns, etc. great prices - a huge loaf of sourdough bread for ONLY a $1.00 - save half and put the other half in the freezer. Also has a selection of gluten free product in the freezer as well as pizza dough.
A great gem to shop at - oh, but one thing. The store ONLY takes cash or check - NO debit or credit cards

The bakery retail store can't be beat for freshness or cheapness, especially if you are buying sandwich sliced loaves or buns. Seriously only 75 cents a loaf or bag for most common things and only a buck for the "fancy stuff". The most expensive thing I've seen is the cinnamon raisin for $1.50 a loaf but it makes delicious toast. They sell great raw pizza dough too if you are feeling like making your own.
The selection varies a bit with whatever they have overstocked but you can usually find what you need or close to it. They have early hours too so get there before 5 pm and

I love this place . Bread has gotten so expensive at the grocery stores so I make a point of coming here to get some . They are almost always busy a lot of people come here and stock up . I see people coming in on the weekends for an army of hotdog and hamburger buns probably for a bbq . They have rolls they give to the children for free when you check out . I drive by there going to work and I live the smell .

I used to live right next to this place and just took it for granted. Then I moved to Denver and missed it so dang much. It is by far the best bread in the midwest, and you can get a loaf for just $0.75 here. Forget about the deals you wait for at your local grocery store, just head down here and pick a few up yourselves. They have so many options here, plus some that you'll never find elsewhere. It is worth a trip just for the smells ;-)
